In line with the Pentagon’s ambitions to build an “AI-first warfighting force,” earlier this year, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth demanded unrestricted use of Anthropic’s Claude model. Anthropic had concerns. Now the two parties are engaged in a... more
Farm bills are huge, sprawling pieces of legislation that affect all Americans — not just farmers. But as they’ve gotten more expensive, they’ve gotten tougher to pass. And due to the SNAP cuts in Congress’s big budget bill passed last summer, the co... more

This show has far exceeded its shelf life. Molly and Kai really made the show what it was, with detailed analysis and perspective on tech, economy, and culture. The show just doesn’t have the same energy it used to. The current hosts are great reporters, but this show just doesn’t make sense anymore.
Was just intending to send a question/review regarding student loans. Not quite sure I understand the reasoning -wouldn’t the plan just be to pay off your loan? If I don’t pay off they just repossess my home or my car. We don’t need programs for that! when you take out a loan you’ve made a financial commitment to pay it back- failure to do so results in consequences not forgiveness.

I started listening to MMS at the beginning of COVID and enjoyed the daily show. The information was timely and interesting. The banter between Molly and Kai was entertaining! When Molly left and Kimberly took the spot, there was a slight change to the character of the show but it was a good change! After Kai left, Kimberly is doing very well but the character of the show has changed for the worst by not having a consistent co-host with Kimberly. I find I miss the point/counterpoint of two known... more
With the original hosts no longer on the show, there is no reason for it to continue. The show limped along after Molly left, only because Kai single-handedly carried the show. Kim can’t host a show to save her life and adding Reema made it so much worse. Now we have a daily show about complete nonsense topics.
Format changed this summer. Have to wonder how much was host burnout/overwhelm (what many of us feel these days) or funding changes. It’s still very informative, but it’s so much less spontaneous & less fun. Now it sounds like all the other reporting podcasts. I used to really enjoy the banter, laughs, & fun & the realness of the hosts. Really miss that. Not sure I’ll be listening every day now.
