  • No more Dave Clark

Great show, quick hits, easy listen. Love the data oriented delivery that lacks with most media. Please don’t bother brining in experts from Ticket News to talk about “feelings” “perceptions” and “sentiments’l.” Three minutes wasted saying there is no way to know!

  • Redundant

In a 7 to 9 minute production, I get the same ad twice, for each product.

Then I can’t wait for the local business person who is getting screwed by the tariffs story.

The flower shop owner, the tea importer, and now the coffee shop operator interviews consumes another 2-3 minutes. It’s the same story! We all know small business is getting screwed over by tariffs.

Morning Report is becoming an “oh woe is me”environment like Make Me Smart.

I am worried this will exacerbate with bringing Deb... more

  • So Sad

The pprogram has turned more and more opinion over the years and it overshadows the headlines to the detriment of young listeners. Sadly the value is gone and the conclusions harm followers.

  • One of the best!

Great content, delivered concisely & professionally. Keep up the good work, y’all. A gentle reminder to other listeners, there’s a fast forward button to mitigate your frustration with the ads. Super easy & quite effective.

  • Please stop with the Thoughts on the Market Ads!

The reporting content is great once you get to it, but it’s becoming really irksome to have to listen to the same speaking Morgan Stanley’s Thoughts on the Market podcast ad — the speaking voice is incredibly annoying, inconsistent with the strong clear cadence of Marketplace, and most listeners don’t want to have to fast-forward every episode.

Oil prices up as ceasefire deal expires
Q: How does the absence of a chair at the NIGC affect tribal casinos on the ground?
Without a chair, field staff still monitor tribes, but the absence restricts the agency's ability to cite or fine violations, making regulatory action less predictable and could delay major deals like the Harris-tribe partnership in Iowa.
Oil prices up as ceasefire deal expires
Q: So what's going on? What's happening in Washington?
Savannah Peters explains that the National Indian Gaming Commission has been without a chair since January, which weakens enforcement and complicates tribal management contracts, potentially slowing investment and growth in tribal gambling across the country.
The government steps in to calm the bond market
Q: Can you first explain what a buyback is?
A Treasury buyback means the government purchases its own bonds back from the public or other holders, pulling them back in-house to reduce the supply in the market and potentially lower long-term interest rates.
The job losses that won't show up in jobless claims
Q: What is causing some job losses not to show up in unemployment data?
TPS-related lapses and ineligible workers are leaving or being let go, which reduces payrolls and can create a weak payroll signal that unemployment claims don't fully capture.
Senate will wait for new rules on crypto
Q: Commodities vs securities. What's the difference for crypto?
The main difference hinges on which agency oversees the activity: the SEC would regulate the securities aspect, while the CFTC would cover commodities, suggesting a split in oversight and approach.
