I’m sure the host is trying the best that she can, but host and writer talent makes a difference.
It is just too boring to listen to. Like someone having a coffee with someone else and casually talking about current events. The kind of conversation that starts with, “Did you hear…”.
Great to source on American markets that speaks to investors through a critical lens.
In an age when US media are constantly being corrupted (by crypto•com and other CCP ventures), this podcast still helps listeners find real economic signals without the noise. May their future be long and prosperous 🙏💕
Least informed podcast I’ve listened to
This was my favorite of the Marketplace shows until Stephanie Hughes began hosting. Her vocal affectations are distracting. She toggles between her natural alto and squeaky clarinet. It sounds forced and takes me out of the reporting. Just embrace the alto even if it’s monotone; stop the squeaking. Or bring back a combination of Nova and Meghan—love them.
Also, I would pay for a subscription to listen to Marketplace shows ad-free. PLEASE.
