  • Political editorial disguised as Marketplace…

    NPR: Never-ending Political Rhetoric

Tune in elsewhere for economic news folks!

Just heard Kimberly’s interview of Politicizing the National Guard… (irony doesn’t escape you, NPR??) ….

    Question:

What does this have to do with the Economy?

Kimberly never asked the gent from Cato one question about economics, US companies, markets, or prices?! So it’s clear this was just a political editorial show disguised under Marketplace!!

Your story had no value if you want to provide information from an economics and market p... more

  • NOT Liberal Junk BUT POV’s all from the wealthy side

Interesting but useless if you’re not wealthy enough to pay for subscriptions to NY Times, Washington Post, etc. to get the full story … Still appreciate it greatly. Now wondering why it’s the only podcast that won’t play.

Bytes: Week in Review - Is AI to blame for this week's wave of layoffs?
Q: Is AI to blame for the recent layoffs announced by companies?
While AI is a factor, it also reflects overhiring and a broader restructuring aimed at profitability.
Nvidia: Boom or bubble?
Q: Would you do me a favor? And this is going to sound like a stupid question. Would you tell me what your company does, please?
Merriam-Webster creates definitions and chronicles language as it is used.
AI is here. Where are the new, better jobs?
Q: Where are the new AI jobs exactly?
The conversation reflects on how historical societal changes suggest that while jobs may not vanish completely, they will evolve, with the current changes due to AI being more subtle than outright replacement of roles.

It's crucial to recognize it's a systemic issue, not a personal failing. Being informed about local tenant protections and advocating for oneself in salary negotiations can provide some control.
