  • Idiots

Who are these two hosts? They sound like they’re reading something that was literally just handed to them, and when they try to add additional thoughts to the story they stammer around and have nothing intelligent to say. It doesn’t seem that any of these “stories” stem from original reporting either - just regurgitated (poorly) from the reports of actual journalists.

  • Light on analysis

Hosts seem like nice guys and there’s a good roundup of news stories, but these two often add their perspectives in throughout the show when it’s clear they have zero expertise on the subject and are just riffing. That’s fine when it’s a pop culture or celebrity topic, but they’ll add their thoughts about economics or business stories and it’s clear neither of them knows anything more than the average person walking down the street. If they’re not going to bring in someone with a strong economic... more

This episode was hilarious because of Toby’s delivery on cup holder car features. Delivered so seriously but with the funniest examples. I think he reference “liquid rigs” as the cups and I lost it 😆

  • Great but lately…

I love this show and the length- it’s the perfect way for me to get a daily dose of news but lately it’s becoming like the Elan Musk show. You guys talk about him so much, move on! A year ago you were loving him, this year you hate him but the either way it’s very Elan heavy and the love/hate sentiment is very obvious. I know there’s other more interesting stuff in the world!

  • Love the show. One request.

This show is a big part of my daily routine. I love the energy and how they cover the daily stories. I wish they would clear their throats or take a day off if they are under the weather.

How Long Will The Gov Shutdown Last? & Peloton Mounts a Comeback
Q: How long do you think they are going to try to make this really important move or not regarding the rate decision?
It would be tough without the key labor data, especially since the ADP report can only do so much and lacks comprehensive labor market details normally provided by the BLS.
OpenAI Levels Up to GPT-5 & ‘Buffett Premium’ Gone for Berkshire?
Q: Brian, is this a dramatic leap for AI models?
Dramatic leap would probably be overselling it; it's good but doesn't represent a step change like GPT-3 to GPT-4.
How to Climb The Wealth Ladder with a Personal Finance Expert
Q: What advice would you give to help people move from level one to level two?
Providing a baby fund or similar starter fund could help provide financial security and investment opportunities.
How to Climb The Wealth Ladder with a Personal Finance Expert
Q: Can money buy happiness?
Once you're happy, more money can make you happier, but if you’re unhappy, more money won't help.
How to Climb The Wealth Ladder with a Personal Finance Expert
Q: How important is ownership in driving wealth?
Ownership is a massive driver of wealth; those with higher levels of wealth have a greater percentage of their assets in income-producing assets.
