Who are these two hosts? They sound like they’re reading something that was literally just handed to them, and when they try to add additional thoughts to the story they stammer around and have nothing intelligent to say. It doesn’t seem that any of these “stories” stem from original reporting either - just regurgitated (poorly) from the reports of actual journalists.
Hosts seem like nice guys and there’s a good roundup of news stories, but these two often add their perspectives in throughout the show when it’s clear they have zero expertise on the subject and are just riffing. That’s fine when it’s a pop culture or celebrity topic, but they’ll add their thoughts about economics or business stories and it’s clear neither of them knows anything more than the average person walking down the street. This episode was hilarious because of Toby’s delivery on cup holder car features. Delivered so seriously but with the funniest examples. I think he reference “liquid rigs” as the cups and I lost it 😆
I love this show and the length- it’s the perfect way for me to get a daily dose of news but lately it’s becoming like the Elan Musk show. You guys talk about him so much, move on! A year ago you were loving him, this year you hate him but the either way it’s very Elan heavy and the love/hate sentiment is very obvious. I know there’s other more interesting stuff in the world!
This show is a big part of my daily routine. I love the energy and how they cover the daily stories. I wish they would clear their throats or take a day off if they are under the weather.
