  • Hypocrisy at its finest

Scott brings in his buddy Shapiro to spread his lies, with zero pushback, doesn’t let Tarlov speak, and then turns around discussing resist and unsubscribe, and the issues with young men. Knowing well that Shapiro is on the top 5 issue in USA. Resist and unsubscribe to Scott’s hypocrisy

  • Well informed and balanced

I love Scott’s podcasts, he is well informed and has a great perspective on the economy, the markets and business in general, while being entertaining too. His advocacy for supporting young people and esp young men is spot on and I don’t see this issue raised in such a balanced way. As a mother of HS junior and senior I thought his Office hours from March 6 was pure gold. His advice on both early career and dating life is excellent. I have talked about it with friends and family, and played it t... more

  • Needs to self-reflect

It’s obvious Scott is grappling with the cognitive dissonance of supporting the Iranian action. Every guest he has on points out the major growing issues and he repeats “well, can’t things go right?” incessantly.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why International Stocks Are Beating the S&P + How Scott Invests his Money
Q: What is your approach to angel investing and how should listeners think about it?
Angel investing is high effort with low liquidity; most opportunities don't liquidate, so it's essential to have strong edge, time, and the ability to mentor; I prefer large-scale, low-friction investments and focus on opportunities where I have governance or strategic influence rather than chasing countless small bets.
Why International Stocks Are Beating the S&P + How Scott Invests his Money
Q: How can people get legitimate investment opportunities in front of you to evaluate?
I rely on a network of trusted partners and venture diligence; I generally invest in public equities for long-term hold and selective private opportunities where I have an edge, often through board participation or access via top-tier VCs; inbound pitches are relatively rare for me.
Why International Stocks Are Beating the S&P + How Scott Invests his Money
Q: Do you still recommend diversifying away from the US stock market and into international markets?
Yes, because international markets have shown strength and offer diversification, even as the US faces higher concentration risks and earnings dynamics that may not be as favorable; the macro backdrop includes a weaker dollar which benefits non-US equities and currency-driven returns.
The Case for Making Up with China, and Which Car Company Is Winning the Energy Crisis?
Q: What company is best positioned to boom during the current oil crisis?
BYD is highlighted as a likely winner in the near term due to its strong EV lineup and growing global footprint, with geographies like Europe showing rapid uptake; the crisis accelerates EV adoption and energy transitions.
The Case for Making Up with China, and Which Car Company Is Winning the Energy Crisis?
Q: Where do you see the China and the US-China relationship ending up in a few years?
The relationship is shifting toward greater cooperation of interests despite tensions, with China perceived as a more rational actor in some conflicts; a tempered collaboration on trade and technology may reduce hostility even as competition intensifies.
