  • Hypocrisy at its finest

Scott brings in his buddy Shapiro to spread his lies, with zero pushback, doesn’t let Tarlov speak, and then turns around discussing resist and unsubscribe, and the issues with young men. Knowing well that Shapiro is on the top 5 issue in USA. Resist and unsubscribe to Scott’s hypocrisy

  • Well informed and balanced

I love Scott’s podcasts, he is well informed and has a great perspective on the economy, the markets and business in general, while being entertaining too. His advocacy for supporting young people and esp young men is spot on and I don’t see this issue raised in such a balanced way. As a mother of HS junior and senior I thought his Office hours from March 6 was pure gold. His advice on both early career and dating life is excellent. I have talked about it with friends and family, and played it t... more

  • Needs to self-reflect

It’s obvious Scott is grappling with the cognitive dissonance of supporting the Iranian action. Every guest he has on points out the major growing issues and he repeats “well, can’t things go right?” incessantly.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

China Decode: The Trump-Xi Meeting That Could Reshape the Global Economy
Q: What are your top predictions for what comes out of this summit?
Alice suggests a mix of concessions and strategic signaling, with three main asks from China—tariffs adjustments, export-control clarity, and a Board of Investment-style framework—while both sides will likely avoid big breakthroughs on sensitive issues and instead set the stage for follow-on negotiations.
Why Markets Don't Panic Anymore + How to Build Real Relationships at Work
Q: How do I square the ROI of city living with the real cost of living, given the odds of being in the top 10 percent and the difficulty of affording big cities when you're young?
City living can be expensive, but it offers density of ideas, capital, and culture that can accelerate career progress. The balance is to get to a city while young and be practical about housing and expenses, leveraging experiences that build credibility, then reassessing as costs rise. If needed, relocate later to more affordable areas while preserving the relationships and opportunities gained.
Is Homeownership Still Worth It? + Why Work-Life Balance Is a Myth
Q: What does the recovery arc look like for founders post-exit, and how should one plan after selling a business?
Post-exit paths vary; start by exploring purposeful avenues that provide meaning and impact, possibly non-profit work or new ventures, and ensure you have enough liquidity to pursue opportunities without financial stress while staying connected to your passions.
Is Homeownership Still Worth It? + Why Work-Life Balance Is a Myth
Q: How can a father add surplus value to the family while balancing being present with kids and financial risk?
The key is to pursue meaningful work that aligns with family goals without sacrificing long-term security; some sacrifice early in career can yield more time and resources for family later, but avoid letting work consume all personal identity or essential relationships.
Is Homeownership Still Worth It? + Why Work-Life Balance Is a Myth
Q: Hi Scott, I live in one of the most expensive areas in California. How should we think about renting versus buying in the context of a future inheritance?
The decision is situational; while buying can be a savings mechanism, in high-cost markets renting can often be more economical, and planning should account for inheritance tax dynamics and the likelihood of inheriting property. Don't build your life around an inheritance that may not materialize; focus on creating a solid economic trajectory and flexibility.
