I'm glad to see Scott on a show where He can talk, I started flowing him years ago Prof G then the Pivot show until something happened. Seemed to start around the Barbie film releases and Kara was over the top praising it and non stop talk, Scott started to regress and gave Her the reigns, Later he would admit he walked out (I did too, boring) Well She couldn't believe it, “MEN!” Suddenly this was a Kara show and Scott became a lap dog, then She made a comment one day dismissing Gay Republican... more
I like Scott’s take on things but I’m sure Jess is a great person but the more I listen to her, the more I just don’t seem to care about her opinion. She just seems to fall completely in line with the dime-a-dozen liberal elite viewpoint. Every broadcaster that isn’t far right have the same view as her so I don’t see her specific value to listen to for 30+ minutes twice a week. Scott’s other cohost, Kara Swisher, leans way more left than Jess and my preferences but I find her having a more usefu... more
I too am a raging moderate. Love the concept, the rich and often profound insights, and the personalities of Jess & Scott. Actual heroes.
This pod is at its best when Galloway and Tarlov get each other’s ideas on recent news. Then it’s often interesting and thought provoking.
Each separately, however, have their problems. Tarlov isn’t a particularly adept interviewer, having trouble making all but the most interesting subjects compelling. Galloway spends too much time flaunting his financial intellect. And he really needs to do us all a favor and keep his money appendage put away.
