Thanks Tim for saying it outloud that of course Melania’s English is a joke. If she were a democrat Maga’s would nail her to the wall.

Also ! Of course it’s complete BS that t says Birgitt Macrom is better looking. He’s so full of it. It’s what we all think amd Jane could have fully agreed instead of trying to walk a stupid line

  • OK

I also think Melania's accent is funny but I cannot accept people who supported Bad Bunny's fully Spanish Super Bowl who then say "speak English" to our First Lady. Insane

  • Best political podcast out there

Tim Miller is a great podcast host and interviewer. Behind his self-deprecating drawl is a very savvy political mind … and a sound moral compass. Plus he has just the right proportions of outrage, wonkiness, and humor. Pearls before swine, baby. Peace out.

  • Jane and Tim Catholic Comments

I love that their opinion is that Catholics “do it right” compared to other denominations. No religion is perfect or does things right. Every denomination is flawed as all people are flawed. I’m confident God is looking down and shaking his head at every single denomination and person on this planet because we are all missing the mark by a significant margin of error!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Carol Leonnig and Will Sommer: The Loons and the Loyalists Running the DOJ
Q: What were Carol Leonnig's main takeaways about the Secret Service failures at the Correspondents' Dinner?
She emphasized that multiple protective layers failed, magnetometers were bypassed, and the intruder penetrated close to the ballroom, which points to a need for internal reviews and a reassessment of security protocols.
Jon Ossoff: Trump Is a Lifelong Racist
Q: Where are you at on impeachment?
Ossoff suggests the president's conduct likely exceeded the impeachment threshold and emphasizes the need for accountability and oversight.
Tracy Alloway and Jordan Ritter Conn: The Global Economic Shock from a Stupid War
Q: What is the central tension you're tracing between markets and politics?
Markets react quickly to headlines and policy signals, but true stability or failure will depend on durable diplomatic outcomes and domestic policy alignment; timing and volatility can mask longer-term structural shifts in energy and inflation.
Michael Weiss: Iran Is Not Likely to Forget about the War
Q: How does the Hungarian election influence broader Western politics and alliances?
Hungary's center-right victory and Orban's shift indicate a potential realignment in Europe, with renewed willingness to cooperate with the EU and NATO, and less appetite for Russian influence, which could affect broader transatlantic dynamics.
Michael Weiss: Iran Is Not Likely to Forget about the War
Q: What is the current status of the ceasefire and what could come next?
The ceasefire is due to end soon; both sides are negotiating, with Iran possibly seeking a 20-year halt on nuclear development, while the U.S. and allies are aiming for a durable arrangement that limits Iran's conflict capabilities without triggering a broader war.
