  • Very good commentary with plenty of facts presented. And I realize this kind of reporting isn't cheap... But holy $h1+: do you have to have EVERY ad break feature something about my meds not working? You are literally reporting on the reasons I can no longer tell if my level of dread is normal. Please get more involved in what you try to sell me.

Please please please get Andrew Egger some voice training. There is so much tension in his voice it's like a knife to the ear. If you're going to speak professionally, then you should develop the chops to do it.

Also please let him know that "primer", meaning introductory instructional text, is pronounced primmer. The prymer pronunciation is for paint.

  • Too many, frequent ads

If they could load up the ads at the beginning and at the end, I might continue subscribing. They now come every few minutes it seems.

I love Maga Monday, which in Australia I get on Tuesday, but no way would I be letting my 10 year old listen to this stuff. America, you are weird. Sam and Will keeping it real though.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sen. Wyden: Banks Knew About Jeffrey Epstein and Looked Away
Q: What actions does Congress have if regulators do not investigate?
Congress can use subpoena power to compel information if regulatory agencies stonewall, and pursue accountability for past abuses while continuing investigations.
Sen. Wyden: Banks Knew About Jeffrey Epstein and Looked Away
Q: What is the most important single aspect of this investigation?
Banks knew Epstein was dirty and basically looked the other way, allowing continued harm; this is the core finding that justifies accountability and further scrutiny.
U.S. Intel: Russia Behind Explosive at German Airport | Command Post
Q: Why were we so unprepared for drone warfare, and why didn't we learn more from allies?
The guest explains that drones have been studied for decades, with small drones used in earlier conflicts, but large-scale drone warfare and drone swarms are only now becoming a decisive factor; procurement is slow due to structured acquisitions, budget cycles, and the complexity of missiles, supply chains, and skilled labor.
Trump-Backed, Racist Republican Just Lost His Primary
Q: Who is Andy Ogles and why is this primary significant?
Andy Ogles is portrayed as an extremely controversial figure in Tennessee politics, criticized for Islamophobic remarks and perceived laziness in campaigning; this primary is significant because it tested whether Trump's endorsement can still secure a GOP victory in a race where the candidate failed to campaign effectively, leading to a surprising defeat.
Destiny Introduces JVL to the Wild World of Streaming
Q: How do you view the current media ecosystem and messaging strategies?
The guest argued that messaging is driven by layered ecosystems where top-tier outlets seed ideas that trickle down and are normalized through algorithmic feeds, with MAGA and far-left groups both able to leverage this funnel; he suggested that changing this requires broad, structural reforms and disciplined, cross‑coalition accountability.
