Mark Hertling is so incredibly informed- Essential listening - and same with the Guest’s analysis.
I appreciated the expert commentary about the current wave of parasitic disease, linked to fresh produce. The explanation and advice was clear and easily understood. Thank you!
The conscience
Important to caveat what the economists said in today’s pod. There isn’t enough INCOME in the billionaire class to do everything we might want to do. There is plenty of WEALTH if we tax wealth. $55 trillion is held by the top 1%! The entire US debt is $39 trillion!
Bulwark Takes are great when I don’t have time for an hour long pod about something. An absolutely great independent media outlet.

Fast-paced, policy-forward commentary that blends hard analysis with sharp humor. Discussions cover current political events, court decisions, and governance, often featuring insider perspectives from prominent political writers and analysts. Notable for its breadth of guest voices—from former lawmakers to legal analysts and journalists—and for tackling complex issues like voting rights, executive power, and media dynamics in an accessible way. Listeners may appreciate the mix of rigorous policy talk with candid, sometimes provocative takes that challenge conventional narratives.
