  • Bad interviewer

Her question is always saying something and then saying talk about that" That's not a question. That is not good interviewing. Most of the time she also includes a lengthy anecdote about herself.

  • Changing my Review

Down to 3 stars. Content great; editing or production quality: Big Fail. Repeating loops; jumping into a place in the conversation where there’s no context of what came before. Please tech folks: double check your work. (old review: Top of Her Game —Kara the tough but compassionate questioner. I’m in!

  • Enough with the ego please

Swisher is a great interviewer but it seems that every single episode she has to remind us how successful and/or wealthy she is. People with more success and wealth do not behave this way. It lacks class and does nothing to improve the quality of the discussion. Please just stop. You may be trying to impress us but you are embarrassing yourself.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why FCC Chair Brendan Carr Is a Dangerous Moron
Q: What is the real mechanism Brendan Carr could use to enforce these license actions, and is there a chilling effect at work beyond explicit threats?
The guests explain there are sanctions like blocking mergers and using public-interest standards, which can pressure content decisions; even the threat of investigations alone can chill speech and self-censorship across broadcasters and platforms.
Is It Possible to Hack Your Body for a Longer Life?
Q: What is the single best piece of advice to lead a healthy life?
Prioritize relationships and social connection as a core component of wellness, alongside consistent exercise and healthy eating.
Demis Hassabis, Google DeepMind and the Battle Over AI Safety
Q: How would you suggest creating a grounded optimism about AI while acknowledging challenges, and what policies could help society harness these tools?
Mallaby suggests a combination of concrete safety measures, proactive labor retraining, wage insurance, and preemptive public policy to smooth transitions, along with private-sector responsibility and thoughtful regulation to balance innovation with societal protection.
Demis Hassabis, Google DeepMind and the Battle Over AI Safety
Q: Based on your time with Demis, what do you see as the role of enterprise adoption and what obstacles stand in the way?
Demis's stance on enterprise adoption appears limited or non-detailed; the implication is that builders and enterprise users operate in separate tracks, with enterprise tools being advanced by players like Anthropic and Palantir-style deployments rather than the core DeepMind ramp; this separation may hinder rapid enterprise integration even as AI advances.
The Creators of ‘Hacks’ on Comedy, Creative Partnership and Surviving Hollywood
Q: Is there anything you do differently if you pitched Hacks today?
They would likely pitch the same show, insisting the core idea and voice are what attracted them, and that the industry's changes don't alter the fundamental story they wanted to tell.
