Reviews

4.2 out of 5 stars from 5.5k ratings
  • Decent, but other similar shows are better

The interviews are interesting, well researched, and thoughtful. However, I have to note the irony of Kara hawking a supplement immediately after a segment in the “Wellness Grifters” episode that discussed why podcasters and other influencers doing exactly that shouldn’t be trusted. It was pretty hard to take the rest of that episode seriously. All that said, on balance the show is worth listening to once in a while. I’d give it a 3.5 and wouldn’t round up, hence the 3 stars given.

  • Appreciative of the these nuanced conversations

Kara is so smart, funny, curious, genuine, and fearless about getting at all the details. The second I think of something I’d like to know, she’s already asking it! I particularly loved the Rosie O’Donnell interview. I love both of them so much and I can only hope to be as thoughtful and brave as they are.

Thanks for connecting us to your world, Kara, and to the worlds of your incredible guests.

  • Talking Plans with Ben Wickler

I just started Ben’s book (This is the Plan) and I’m even more excited to really dig in. It’s the direction and explanation we’ve needed to give average Democrats and voters of all parties some belief that we can break out of this altered universe. Thank you, Kara, for pulling out specific examples of the plan from Ben to spark others to take a deep dive and—more importantly—to take action. Much better than the typical response of “read it in my book”.

    Great interview.
