  • Bad interviewer

Her question is always saying something and then saying talk about that" That's not a question. That is not good interviewing. Most of the time she also includes a lengthy anecdote about herself.

  • Changing my Review

Down to 3 stars. Content great; editing or production quality: Big Fail. Repeating loops; jumping into a place in the conversation where there’s no context of what came before. Please tech folks: double check your work. (old review: Top of Her Game —Kara the tough but compassionate questioner. I’m in!

  • Enough with the ego please

Swisher is a great interviewer but it seems that every single episode she has to remind us how successful and/or wealthy she is. People with more success and wealth do not behave this way. It lacks class and does nothing to improve the quality of the discussion. Please just stop. You may be trying to impress us but you are embarrassing yourself.

Longer Life: What Does Science Say?

Longer Life: What Does Science Say?
Q: How does the Buck Institute approach aging research and immunology?

Longer Life: What Does Science Say?
Q: What is something about aging that would surprise the average person, and what do people get wrong about aging?
Aging is not just fate; individuals have more control over how they age than they realize, and lifestyle choices early on can meaningfully impact health and longevity, while many people overestimate the need for perfection.
Music, Consciousness and the Power of Connection
Q: What role do psychedelics play in understanding consciousness and health?
Pollan discusses psychedelics as medicines with clinical evidence for conditions like PTSD and anxiety, while acknowledging historical bias and safety concerns. He notes their potential to transform psychiatric treatment and aging, but stresses the need for careful, evidence-based integration and policy considerations.
