  • Show with the senator

Anthropic had a contract in place with the DOD that drew the line that anthropic is trying to protect. Senator mark warner gives me confidence.

  • Survivors speak out episode

Very powerful episode. Everyone, regardless of their political views, should listen to these courage women. One of the best interviews I’ve heard about the Epstein case from survivors.

  • Progressive until it’s about Palestine

I used to really enjoy this podcast and followed Kara pretty religiously for a while. She’s smart, sharp, and asks tough questions in ways a lot of interviewers don’t.

But lately I’ve become skeptical of how genuinely liberal or progressive she really is. The way the conflict in the Middle East has been discussed — or more accurately not discussed in any nuanced or serious way — has been disappointing.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Louis Theroux Goes Inside the Manosphere. It’s Worse Than You Think.
Q: From a policy standpoint, what can lawmakers do to curb the spread of dangerous, extremist content among young men?
Louis emphasizes that simple free-speech debates miss the point; amplification, platform incentives, and access to engaging, provocative content drive harm. He suggests thoughtful regulation to limit exposure without curtailing legitimate speech but stresses the complexity of implementing such policies across platforms and cultures.
Louis Theroux Goes Inside the Manosphere. It’s Worse Than You Think.
Q: How aware has Louis been of the response to his show from the Manosphere itself?
Louis explains that the film includes a meta layer where influencers react to the experience, and notes various responses—some parties push back or try to leverage the footage, while others acknowledge it and move on; overall, the show aims to document and illuminate rather than to sensationalize.
Wellness Grifters and the Real Science Behind Longevity with Dr. Eric Topol
Q: What do you see as the most significant breakthroughs in anti-aging science today?
Key breakthroughs include the ability to quantify aging with organ clocks, understand inflammation and immune system aging, and the use of AI to integrate multi-omic data for prevention and early intervention, plus developments in immune system modulation and disease-specific prevention strategies.
Sen. Tillis Unfiltered: Trump, Iran & What’s Next For the GOP
Q: What has to happen for the country to get working again and for politicians to work across party lines
Tillis emphasizes the need to preserve the filibuster, build bipartisan coalitions, reward bipartisan behavior, and create incentives for cross‑aisle collaboration rather than pure ideological battles.
Sen. Tillis Unfiltered: Trump, Iran & What’s Next For the GOP
Q: Given the founders designed three co‑equal branches, is Congress fulfilling its role when the majority and the president are aligned
Tillis argues that Congress must push back and preserve checks and balances, using war powers and committee oversight to ensure legitimacy and avoid unilateral action by the executive branch.
