  • Show with the senator

Anthropic had a contract in place with the DOD that drew the line that anthropic is trying to protect. Senator mark warner gives me confidence.

  • Survivors speak out episode

Very powerful episode. Everyone, regardless of their political views, should listen to these courage women. One of the best interviews I’ve heard about the Epstein case from survivors.

Thank you Kara for your thorough and empathetic journalism. Your questions for the Epstein survivors should be a bench mark for others reporting on this issue. Thank you

  • Progressive until it’s about Palestine

I used to really enjoy this podcast and followed Kara pretty religiously for a while. She’s smart, sharp, and asks tough questions in ways a lot of interviewers don’t.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sen. Mark Warner On What Trump Is Risking With War in Iran
Q: How do you see the risks of escalation and the potential for a broader conflict affecting the region and global order?
Warner argues that escalation could pull in multiple actors, threaten allies, and destabilize regional security, making careful diplomatic and strategic recalibration essential for preventing a wider war, while prioritizing alliances.
Sen. Mark Warner On What Trump Is Risking With War in Iran
Q: What is your best explanation for why Trump got the US into this war?
Warner emphasizes that there was no imminent threat and suggests the decision was a behavioral choice influenced by political aims and misaligned assessments, urging a more cautious, congressional-oversight driven approach.
Friction Matters: Resistance Is a Feature, Not a Bug
Q: What is the biggest misconception about friction in everyday life?
That friction is inherently bad and should be eliminated; in reality, it's a nuanced force that enables systems to start moving, grip, and transfer energy, and sometimes increasing friction is desirable.
Survivors Speak Out: Taking On the ‘Epstein Class’
Q: What has been the biggest barrier to accountability?
The guests cite powerful interests, redactions, political polarization, and the withholding of information, along with the burden placed on survivors rather than on enablers or institutions.
Survivors Speak Out: Taking On the ‘Epstein Class’
Q: What motivates you to come forward publicly?
All three guests describe a mix of personal trauma and a desire to prevent similar harm to others, driven by witnessing others' courage and by the practical need to push for accountability and systemic change.
