On February 24, 1978, five men from the Yuba County, California-area vanished in the wilderness of Northern California. They had set out on what should’ve been a quick road trip to watch their favorite basketball team in a neighboring town. But all five friends wound up missing or dead. Hosted by Shannon McGarvey

I was already familiar with this case from other podcasts but this was so well researched, lots of great interviews, great narrative, and very compelling.
One of the best coverage stories of this event that I have ever heard. I have followed this event for many years and listened to many podcasts and read many articles, but this by far is the most detailed one I’ve heard.
I don’t think they come much better than this.
Perfectly articulated, researched and produced.
Thorough coverage, interesting case
I did like that the podcast interviewed family members and law enforcement.
But the negatives: very repetitive, commercial interruptions are abrupt, the format is confusing and they jump around a lot, the music in the background is distracting.
I’m happy they focused on the victims. That’s why I gave two stars instead of one.
