English isn’t the hosts first language so many words are a little off or misused, but there’s also a lot of blatant hatred and bigotry in multiple episodes that can’t be excused by a language barrier.
Transphobic host
I used to really love this podcast because for the most part, the host kept it to the facts— which for a story delivery format is better then personal opinion banter; but this last season or so the host is so blatantly biased in her delivery towards her own religion and blaming anyone outside of that group as being the problem. She picks and chooses victims that were Christian to showcase as well as predators of marginalized communities to blame. It’s too bad it used to be truly about any type ... more
And yet here they’ve decided to enter the Culture Wars (sigh), and looking at some of the monosyllable, barely literate parrots in the reviews, you can guess which route they’ve decided to take.
Bigotry towards a marginalized group is still bigotry even if a member of that marginalized group does something hideous, and frankly if you have to reach for that to delineate that a perpetrator is bad, you’re not only a bigot, you’re a particularly lazy bigot.
