I am a secular person. I am a compulsive overeater. I can’t do the 12 step program in traditional Overeaters Anonymous , because it is smmcontrary to my spiritual thinking. Traditional OA A seems to be Christian deity and confession oriented. That is not for me. But I want to not eat food the way I have done for 50 years. This seems like a place where I can feel safe and do the alternative Secular 12 and 12 steps, if you are interested to join me, try it.
Sincerely, Robin A

A community-focused show centered on secular approaches to recovery from compulsive eating, linking practical tools, peer-led accountability, and non-theistic pathways within OA. Episodes frequently feature workshops, panel discussions, and real-world experiences around accountability buddies, recovery circles, secular sponsorship, and trauma-informed approaches. Notable strengths include hands-on formats (workshops, live Q&As) and a strong emphasis on confidentiality, autonomy, and practical strategies for managing holidays, stress, and social settings. The format often blends personal narratives with actionable techniques, making it appealing to listeners seeking secular, pragmatic paths to recovery and community support.
