  • Wonderful speakers

This is such an important part of my recovery now! I love hearing these leads as I’m stuck in traffic, and I can listen to one of them instead of my own crazy head. Thank you to whoever makes this happen!!

  • Tony P talk

He was great!! But unfortunately a woman named Ellie asked a question then proceeded to keep her speaker on as she was making very disruptive and distracting noises to what sounded like a cat. It was awful!!! And she was supposed to be listening to his answer but it didn’t happen. I thought there were moderators on there who could tell her to mute herself??!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Elly S | Kitchen Sink | April 25, 2026
Q: How did relapse fit into your early recovery, and how did you stay.
Relapse is a normal part of the recovery arc for me; I stay by returning to the basics with my sponsor, reading the steps, and recognizing that the wrongness of relapse does not negate my ongoing capacity to recover.
Nancy K | Virtual Kitchen Sink | May 2, 2026
Q: How has sobriety affected relationships in your life, and how do you handle amends and reading signals from others?
She explains that making amends promptly and shifting from seeking attention to giving attention has strengthened relationships; she uses honest communication and reading social cues to foster healthier connections.
Nancy K | Virtual Kitchen Sink | May 2, 2026
Q: Oh, excuse me, Nancy. I have my hand up. How do you quickly work your program around resentment and self-pity, which you mentioned are dubious luxuries of normal men?
Nancy describes recognizing resentment and self-pity as obstacles, then turning to her higher power and reaching out to others for support, which helps her move past those feelings and stay connected to her program.
Doreen G | Virtual Kitchen Sink | April 25, 2026
Q: How do you maintain working the first three steps repeatedly, and how do you define abstinence on a daily basis?
Doreen says she recites the steps and treats them as living tools, revisiting the first step as foundational and using the rest to guide daily decisions, including a typed or spoken reminder to turn her will over to a Higher Power as needed.
Irene M | Virtual Kitchen Sink | April4, 2026
Q: What does trusting a higher power look like on a daily basis for you, beyond just program life?
Trusting a higher power means recognizing I don't have all the answers, pausing my initial instincts, seeking guidance from others, and following a path that feels right even when it's uncomfortable.
