It's hard for people with PD to talk to others about the disease because sometimes it's difficult for the patient themselves to describe what they are feeling. Talking to other PD patients helps us express what we are going through in ... more

I was diagnosed with young onset PD in May 2025 just before I turned 43. My wife and I have 5 kids (ages 9-19) and I work as a pastor. When I got the diagnosis, rather than the common response of tears, I felt numb about it for months. I had been experiencing symptoms for a couple years and didn’t feel any different symptoms-wise, I was still doing all the same things, and was just…numb.

As I sit here on Thanksgiving night, taking stock of what I have in my life to be thankful for, especially since learning about my possible YOPD diagnosis, I am so thankful and truly grateful I found this podcast.
Through this show I was able to make a connection with someone 40 miles away from me that has YOPD. And through THAT connection, met someone else (also a listener of the show) with YOPD and actually lives in my town and goes to my same church I do. As you know, finding someone li... more
Thank you team especially Jessica and Brian for giving up your time to educate people on Parkinson and share your own experiences. Your guests are equally valuable. I was diagnosed in August 2025 and have listened to all your podcasts and feel much more informed of my diagnosis. Thank you!
I am a man of 51 years of age and I have PD. This podcast is a refreshing way of looking and living life with PD. I am very thankful for the two of them for everything they share.
I am both a physician and a person with Parkinson’s. I listen to about a half dozen different Parkinson’s podcasts on a regular basis. I always look forward to tapping into Jessica and Brian, like they’re at my dining room table and we’re all allowed to ask the questions we really want to ask. Their delivery is unstrained, and feels like it is spoken with a smile.
Thank you to the team at The Secret Life of Parkinson’s
