  • Perfect for bedtime

I’d been wishing for a podcast like The Nightly for a long time! A lot of sleep podcasts are so boring that I end up losing interest and my thoughts run wild. But this podcast is interesting and comforting, making it the perfect thing to listen to as I wind down. I especially enjoy episodes focused on pop culture.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Knicks are Cursed w/ Carl Tart
Q: What do you think about the Knicks' curse and ownership changes as discussed during the game segment?
Carl argues that ownership quality matters for championships and suggests modern ownership moves could change the franchise's fortunes, while noting that past championships show the Knicks aren't truly forever cursed.
The Knicks are Cursed w/ Carl Tart
Q: Do you have a sleep tip or routine you would want to share with the listeners?
Carl talks about taking pre-bed baths with lavender Epsom salts, playing music in the bathroom, and testing simple ambience ideas before sleep; he emphasizes small rituals to help wind down.
If Dogs Could Talk w/ Niccole Thurman
Q: Would you rather know how to speak any language on earth or be able to communicate with animals?
Niccole says she would prefer to communicate with animals because of her strong connection with her own dog Izzy, though she acknowledges the potential sadness in hearing what animals might reveal; she also notes the appeal of multilingual ability as a way to make people feel seen.
Our Good Sides w/ Glambot's Cole Walliser
Q: Is there somebody out there you'd like to say good night to before we wrap?
I'd like to say good night to all of the PAs and security staff at the award shows who work behind the scenes, often early in the morning, because they keep everything running and deserve recognition.
Our Good Sides w/ Glambot's Cole Walliser
Q: First and foremost, is there something that listeners should be checking out because we know they want more of you?
I'm pretty active on social media under my name, and the GlamBots are something I post year-round; with awards season winding down, it'll be a good time to enjoy some quieter, personal content before we dive back into the fall activity.
