    Thanks, I’ve learned so much. One note, please consider letting conversations flow a bit more, with fewer interruptions. Sometimes when you interrupt the guest, it distracts me the listener, and I wonder if it distracts the guest also. Anyway, thanks for a brilliant show.

Q: Could you say a little bit about how you came to do this, how you got into bike racing in the first place and cycling, and yeah, how it led to ultra-riding?
Max Riese began with running but transitioned to cycling after receiving a road bike from his injured cousin. He found cycling to be faster and more exhilarating. After initially competing at a national level, he left the sport due to pressure but returned through social rides, eventually discovering the ultra-racing scene and pursuing events like the Silk Road Mountain Race and Tour Divide.
