4.7 out of 5 stars from 9.3k ratings
  • Excellent podcast

Below was my review during the first COVID lockdown. I used to absolutely love it and had it down as 5 stars. The volume of advertisements now makes the show unbearable which is a great shame considering the quality of guests from multiple fields. Remove or at least reduce the adverts and I will listen again. Until then, it is down to 2 stars for me.

Listened to 3 now. RVP, Rio and Poch and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. As a teacher of PE, I will be directing a lot of pupils towards these to... more

  • Warriormumma Reviews

Enjoyable podcasts: some less than obvious interviewees that are curated well. I do believe the adverts are excessive, recognise it needs to be funded. Perhaps there’s a more creative way to fund/advertise? With pre-recorded ads by the companies rather than voiced by Jake? Nonetheless, I’m enjoying these, so thanks!

  • Too many ads

This was once a standout podcast. Over commercialised now and the amount of things Jake endorses and reads the ads for is questionable. To me it comes across as disingenuous.

  • To much talking from presenters

Such a shame when you have such high class guests and the presenters talking more than them.

Continuously seek improvement for yourself, frame achievements as stepping stones, and push people to grow by embracing new challenges and staying out of comfort zones.
The Man Behind Bodø/Glimt's Champions League Miracle | Bjørn Mannsverk (E407)
Q: Tell us, how does that happen?
It starts with recognizing the need to train the mental side, borrowing methods from the fighter pilot culture, and then building a collaborative, volunteer-driven approach with the players and coaches that creates a shared belief in the process rather than just chasing results.
When Sport Crosses the Line (ft. James Witts, Author of DOPE)
Q: What surprised you most in writing Dope?
Witts says the early realization that up to 50% of athletes in some studies might consider doping, contrasted with much lower positive-test rates, revealed a deep disconnect between perception and testing reality.
What Elite Performers Do When The Pressure Hits
Q: How important is leadership and culture in managing pressure?
Leadership that fosters trust, vulnerability, and collective responsibility can dramatically improve performance under pressure.
What Elite Performers Do When The Pressure Hits
