Really bad podcast
A fan for a number of years. Their original premise, for the large remains steadfast with excellent guests and questioning. However the volume, length and randomness of adverts is ruining every episode.
It reeks of Stephen Bartlett, where every product is delivered by Jake and the team. Meaning opinions are become disingenuous. Perhaps just commercial pre-recorded adverts would be a better balance.
It strikes as any product will get their backing if they’re paying the right price!

Below was my review during the first COVID lockdown. I used to absolutely love it and had it down as 5 stars. The volume of advertisements now makes the show unbearable which is a great shame considering the quality of guests from multiple fields. Listened to 3 now. RVP, Rio and Poch and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. As a teacher of PE, I will be directing a lot of pupils towards these to... more
Enjoyable podcasts: some less than obvious interviewees that are curated well. I do believe the adverts are excessive, recognise it needs to be funded. Perhaps there’s a more creative way to fund/advertise? With pre-recorded ads by the companies rather than voiced by Jake? Nonetheless, I’m enjoying these, so thanks!
