  • Podcast has gone downhill

The podcast was varied with a nice mix of conversations. It has gotten really boring over the last few months. I think the presenters have lost interest in it

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sometimes the Roadman pod can be a bit well, let's just say wanting; HOWEVER, with a proper expert guest and a willingness from Anthony to listen (more than talk) can be one of the best podcasts ever for a cyclist. This episode was 100% great!

    Thank you Erin! (and Anthony).

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Inside Modern Adventure: Alex Howes on Building America’s New Pro Team
Q: Where did the idea of the team and your involvement come from?
The idea grew from a group of investors and owners who wanted to build a new US-based program, leveraging founder Dustin Harder's passion for cycling. The project started with a seed in early planning and quickly escalated into a six-year commitment to create a stable platform for young American riders to progress to higher levels.
The Athlete’s Guide to Better Sleep & Faster Recovery With Harry Gestetner
Q: How should athletes think about training timing and sleep?
Training timing should consider recovery quality; workouts too close to bedtime can impair sleep, so adjusting session timing and having a plan to minimize acute sleep disruption is beneficial for longer-term gains.
The Athlete’s Guide to Better Sleep & Faster Recovery With Harry Gestetner
Q: What have real people seen in terms of improvements with this approach?
People report stronger recovery signals, like higher sleep scores, better consistency in REM and deep sleep, and noticeable improvements in how they feel during workouts, not just in lab studies.
The Athlete’s Guide to Better Sleep & Faster Recovery With Harry Gestetner
Q: How much does sleep really affect performance?
Sleep has a foundational role in recovery, with deep sleep and REM driving physical and mental restoration, so optimizing these stages is essential for improving training adaptations and daily performance.
How To Start Running As A Cyclist (Mistakes To Avoid) With Jimmy Whelan
Q: What advice would you give to someone trying to transition from runner to cyclist, or in this case, from cyclist to runner?
Go for it with deliberate progression, focus on tendon loading through plyometrics, and avoid overloading early runs. Use easy shoes to reduce load and build the running base gradually, while keeping cycling performance intact.
