Episode 1 of the World Cup Diary was easily the worst Podcast I’ve heard for a long time. Real insight into Jon . You really aren’t getting anything out of him when he’s not interested.
Alright lads……. You’ll never see this but I’ve been listening since you started and the banter and stories just keeps going. Reminds me and myself and my pals. Those Covid YouTube lives were absolutely hilarious. Robbie Williams stopped by for a couple hahaha wtf. Keep going lads. Love it. I’m even warming to the Friday clubs. Just keep laughing lads. Love it.
Great podcast!!! Apart from the audio is really quiet lately, the adverts are sound so I know it’s not my speakers. Literally couldn’t hear the latest Friday club so gave up after ten min. Boldly sort it out !!! 😉😂
Decent pod, good football stories and have a good range of players. Only thing I would like them to do is when they use players nicknames, then tell us the players actual name 😂. The guest or presenters could be telling a story and I have zero clue who they are talking about as they used a changing room nickname.
Love the honesty in the interviews from ex players which you never seem to get from the PL players on tv who are too worried about offending ppl. Also love the weekly Friday Club episodes.

This show centers on candid football banter, behind-the-scenes stories, and long-form interviews with ex-pros and industry voices. Across recent episodes, listeners hear freewheeling chats, travel diaries from live fan tours, and tall tales from the football world, all delivered with a laid-back, mates‑chat vibe. Prominent elements include unfiltered humor, camaraderie among hosts, and guest anecdotes that pull back the curtain on life in and around football. The format often blends travel stories, on-tour banter, and sponsor reads, yielding a highly conversational, highly entertaining listening experience that appeals to football fans who enjoy blunt humor and insider perspectives. A few episodes lean into risqué humor and personal anecdot... more
