COUNTER•POWER is the podcast for global solidarity. Some say we are entering a new age of hard power, where might makes right and despots carve up the world between them. Here on COUNTER•POWER, we’ve got other ideas. The despots are facing rising resistance across the world, and our job is to build these sources of "counter-power".

  • Brexit is racist

To the „man in the steet“ the racism aspect and the underlying meaning behind Brexit and slogans like „Take back control“ was blindingly obvious.

Find it weirdly and disappointingly sad that Experts and Accademics clearly failed to see/understand that.

  • 2+2=

In this Orwellian post Brexit where 2+2=5, any sane individual knows there are reckonings on the way. This PC grasps all them and asks the questions and attempts answers in an apolitical manner.

  • Wales?

In series 71 alot of talk about England, Scotland & NI, but Wales not mentioned.

Can only assume all references to England should be taken as a reference to England & Wales as a collective.

    Might be wrong!

S2 Ep4: Hope as a duty: Gaza and the BDS Movement
Q: Could you tell us a little bit about BDS and its evolution, where it's come from, how it's got to this stage, and where you're hoping it will go now?
BDS began in 2005 as a broad Palestinian-led civil movement inspired by the anti-apartheid struggle, aiming to end occupation and apartheid while supporting the right of return; it emphasizes nonviolence, anti-racism, and linking Palestinian liberation to global justice movements, with growing international support and practical impacts like divestment, cultural boycotts, and policy changes.
