I quite like Harris but in studio-based episodes/discussions he makes it a really difficult listen because of his shouting and interruptions. His in-the-field reporting and narration is good though.
John tries his best, but he's never going to get anything more from Gabby Hinsliff other than happily parroting whatever the perceived intent of Starmer's line is.
Okay. Reposting just to be the first review of 2025! Excellent podcast and such a shame there is not a Guardian Radio Station. Keep up the fine work and many thanks. Fascinating as always. Love you, love your work 🙏🏼🔮
Is there anyone more miserable than John Harris? I’m always up for fair and objective criticism of all political parties but the host of this programme is all criticism, all of the time. Thank goodness for Pippa Crearar, Kiran Stacy and others who try to offer a more balanced view. For example: the post budget episode was dire. Did John Harris expect a single, annual budget to rectify 14 years of austerity? Apparently so.
