    very interesting show and good topics, I’m nearly 3years post stroke and i agree with Chris its time that heals and don’t give up its a long road but you do make gains you perservere.I’m close to running i won’t be running a 10K this year but maybe 2 years is the goal.

  • So helpful! I am a stroke victim too.

    I had a hemorrhagic stoke in 2014, followed by a liver rupture from being given too much heparin. It was a rough ride with a fair amount of aphasia that has taken years to fully be restored. But the process was fascinating. There were moments when I could feel my brain repairing itself. And early in a lot of interesting intuitive stuff. (Left brain was affected so I believe the right side became more fully active to compensate.) Anyway, thank you again for a wonderful podcast.

  • This UK podcast is a little different from many stroke-related podcasts. The host/narrator isn't directly a part of the conversation. Instead, he frames and highlights elements of the survivors' stories. And there is a wide array of stroke survivors on the show.

    Because it is a UK-based podcast, American listeners (especially those with audio processing challenges) may struggle to parse some of the accents. I imagine that's the same struggle UK audiences have with American podcasts. Still, it's... more
