A series of coincidences leads reporter Eric Mennel to the box, sending him on a five-year search to understand the truth about its owner. But as Men... more

Brilliant in all ways. Pacing, storytelling, the way it unfolds. I binged it in a day.
What do you call a person who is overly interested in other people's affairs while failing to manage their own responsibilities effectively. A meddling busybody 😝.
It's worth a listen, really enjoyed it. I never give a five star rating. Thank you.
Do not be fooled by the description. Two episodes are dedicated to an interesting subject. What remains is the podcaster milking the weakest of his own family’s drama.
So I just stumbled up on this and for three days now, I’ve had all these, as NPR puts it, “driveway moments”. I don’t think I have enjoyed a podcast more in such a long time. How the author juxtaposed his life experience along with this mercurial figure was brilliant storytelling!
Bravo!
Who would have guessed that this would be such a really good story?!?!!! This was fantastic!!! Couldn’t stop listening. Sat in the car long after arriving places just to hear more! There was NO WAY to guess upcoming content!
Maybe I can find more podcasts by Eric. I feel like I know him as a friend after this podcast. He’s a GREAT storyteller … and a terrific writer! Wow what a memorable story! I loved it and plan to tell lots of people about it.
