  • Great content

I love the information!! However, the interviewer could do a better job of listening... it really takes away from the learning experience when he’s constantly saying “yeah.” “Yup.” “Right.” “okay.” after every sentence the interviewee says.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Is reading in decline? Lee Child on the importance of literature
Q: What advice would you give to writers from non-traditional backgrounds?
Write with a vivid, organic heart and stay 100 percent excited about your story; if you are authentic and passionate, others will connect with it because you are not completely unique in your humanity.
Is reading in decline? Lee Child on the importance of literature
Q: Do you think books should be championed as early as possible, as opposed to relying on storytelling?
Books are a powerful delivery mechanism because reading can be done individually and collectively, but early access to engaging material helps build lifelong reading habits, especially if the content is relatable and accessible.
The social impact of AI
Q: How do you define harm in the context of AI interactions, and how can it be measured without politicizing the issue?
Harm should be understood through multidisciplinary evidence, focusing on measurable mental health impacts and real-world functioning, while avoiding politicized framing by separating safety concerns from hype about AI's capabilities.
Inside the life of Elizabeth II
Q: What was the Queen's true attitude toward Brexit and party politics?
There was no clear public stance; she kept party political views hidden, and those who knew her described her as capable of nuanced positions that avoided taking sides.
Behind the Curtain
Q: Have you noticed over the years you've been in charge of the organization, the way in which you generate creativity and maintained creativity has changed?
Interpretations of works evolve, but the essence remains constant; technology and new storytelling tools have expanded how creativity is explored, with AI and remote collaboration opening fresh possibilities while the core aim—shining a light through great works—stays the same.
