Listen to one episode and never heard a speaker say “like” so constantly as the guest, and then the host started. Argh! Such a shame as interesting topic.

  • Loved It! 🥰

I guess from your conversation I really never knew how to correctly apologize. I feel this will indeed help me in all aspects of my life. I definitely will have more empathy for others because they too may be having the same struggles with apologizing as I do. May my relationships recover from this new knowledge and that I maybe a better human with practice and much self compassion. Thank you for your work you all are doing. 😍😍🫶🏽

  • Great content!

I love the content of this show. I binged the first 13 episodes this weekend. There are a few people complaining about the ads, but you can fast forward or skip those. So I don’t see that as a problem. I enjoy the content. Chris, you are a great interviewer and I love the guests on this show so far. I’m going to continue listening.

How algorithms changed the way we communicate (w/ Adam Aleksic
Q: What would you say to a regular person about being mindful of language in daily life?
Ask why a word or phrase is popular, where it came from, and how platform dynamics might be biasing what we think is acceptable, then choose how you want to respond rather than simply following trends.
Why you should take a risk every day with Julie Zhuo | from WorkLife with Molly Graham
Q: What is the distinction between fearlessness and courage in practice, and how should someone apply that at work?
Courage is choosing to act despite fear for a meaningful purpose, while fearlessness ignores consequences; the aim is to act with awareness of potential outcomes and a shared goal in mind.
Why you should take a risk every day with Julie Zhuo | from WorkLife with Molly Graham
Q: How do you approach daily risks in a work setting, especially in leadership or management roles?
She describes building rituals around January to set themes for the year, treating risks as a continuum of small actions, and focusing on outcomes that align with long-term values and team health rather than just immediate results.
Why you should take a risk every day with Julie Zhuo | from WorkLife with Molly Graham
Q: You've written about everyday risk and pushing yourself to take small risks regularly. what gave you that idea, and why is it important?
Zhuo explains she was scared as a kid and realized the pattern of avoiding things that felt scary; over time at Facebook she learned that pride came from doing things that were scary and that you can make risk a daily craft rather than a one-off leap.
The right risks to take for a great career (w/ Molly Graham) (video)
Q: You've talked about the J curve as a way to think about career moves. How did that idea shape your decisions, especially when you moved from HR to building a mobile phone project?
The J curve encourages embracing a period of seeming stagnation or confusion at the bottom, followed by a leap to new capabilities and later progress; it framed the pivot to the mobile project as a deliberate learning journey rather than a risky gamble.
