  • Great content!

I love the content of this show. I binged the first 13 episodes this weekend. There are a few people complaining about the ads, but you can fast forward or skip those. So I don’t see that as a problem. I enjoy the content. Chris, you are a great interviewer and I love the guests on this show so far. I’m going to continue listening.

  • 4+ minutes in before show

1st episode and the podcast will be removed from my rotation asap if all episodes have as many ads. And don’t need the intro on what will be discussed…just get to it already

  • Eat meat and dairy

Anything that encourages nor eating meat and dairy is absolute nonsense. If you want to be a better human, eat a healthy balanced diet of wholefoods and real food (animals, dairy, bit of fruit and veg), exercise and read your Bible.

There I just saved you wasting time listening to this paid propaganda podcast. 🙂

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How to find your purpose (w/ Yara Shahidi)
Q: What practical tips would you offer for people who feel like the door of possibility is shut?
Build a personal 'hard yes' list of things that bring joy or reset you, track moments that fill you up, and cultivate conversations with others to keep broadening your sense of what's possible.
How to find your purpose (w/ Yara Shahidi)
Q: So my first question for you is, obviously you identify as an optimist. You said something in your TED Talk that I think is really interesting, which is that being a pessimist is easy. What makes optimism something you actively choose?
I choose optimism because it's a practice that requires work and learning, not mere luck; it's about engaging with the world and people, and choosing to pursue what moves you even when it's hard.
Your job or your sanity? How to not lose both (w/ Guy Winch)
Q: What do you tell someone who is trying to switch careers or roles and feels uncertain about their path?
Treat it as an experiment, give yourself time to onboard, and create a plan A, plan B, and plan C so you live with options while you learn the new environment.
How to understand money stuff (w/ Matt Levine)
Q: Why is humor such an effective tool for explaining finance to a lay audience?
Humor helps illuminate the absurdities and hidden mechanisms of complex financial systems, making the underlying concepts more memorable and showing where rules and reality diverge, which helps people grasp how finance shapes the world.
How to understand money stuff (w/ Matt Levine)
Q: If you're an ordinary person trying to understand money, what should you focus on beyond investing tips?
Focus on understanding what you're getting paid for, the real economic energy behind profits, and how broad exposure like index funds can capture economic growth while recognizing the limitations and potential effects on competition.
