  • Deepika Chopra?! Yuck.

Disturbing to see his name listed for the good life project podcast. Google Deepak Chopra or search for him on the DOJ‘s website and you’ll see that he was friends with Jeffrey Epstein, and said a lot of concerning & disgusting things about young women and girls through email. Until he addresses his role in things, I don’t want any life advice from him & I am unfollowing the show for hosting him.

  • Blown away by Tinnitus Episode

I don’t know where to begin except to say I had a similar experience with an overactive nervous system that made me itchy along with Tinnitus. You summed it up by sharing the simple words Abandon Hope. I understood completely what you meant and have also found piece in my discomfort. Like you it has lessened greatly but not by fighting or fearing it. Instead acceptance. Thankyou for your calming voice and Metta meditation. Just amazing and transformative.

The Hidden Reason You Keep Putting Things Off | Jon Acuff
Q: Walk me through sort of like the early steps of how to change this from procrastination into this might actually happen?
Start by making tomorrow easy today: identify a small, achievable step (like 15 minutes a day for seven days), recall a past win to build momentum, and then audition that goal rather than diving into a full-blown plan. This creates initial progress and belief that you can do more, which then leads to a more realistic, workable plan.
The Science Behind Why Religion Actually Works | David DeSteno
Q: How can someone in midlife start incorporating these spiritual technologies without joining a traditional faith?
Start with practices that orient values toward others—gratitude, mindfulness, service, and contemplative rituals—that fit your life. You can retain personal belief or not, but maintain the communal and regular aspects that reinforce rhythm and meaning.
The Science Behind Why Religion Actually Works | David DeSteno
Q: Is there a difference in outcomes between belief in God and engagement in religious practices?
Belief alone matters less for health outcomes than active engagement in rituals and practices; belief helps with anxiety and death, but the strongest benefits come when belief is paired with practice that involves community and actionable behaviors.
You Probably Shouldn’t Say That. And Yet…(Groundbreaking Science of Disagreeing Well) | Julia Minson
Q: What is the difference between a disagreement and an argument, and why does that matter?
A disagreement is a difference in beliefs or preferences that can be explored through understanding and curiosity without forcing a win, whereas an argument centers on persuading the other person and often aims to win; reframing conversations this way helps preserve relationships while still engaging with ideas.
You Probably Shouldn’t Say That. And Yet…(Groundbreaking Science of Disagreeing Well) | Julia Minson
Q: Take me into this.
The HEAR Framework is a toolkit designed to help people navigate disagreements by hedging claims, emphasizing agreement, acknowledging the other person's perspective, and reframing statements positively, so conversations stay constructive rather than turning into battles.
