  • Great resource for physicians

We don’t learn very much about billing in residency. This podcast has been extremely helpful to learn how to bill properly and to think about getting the right systems in place. This is helping me to maximize my RVUs and understand how the billing processes work. I’m so grateful I learned about this podcast from EntreMD before I go into private practice next year. Thank you so so much Dr. Signorelli!!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#123 How to Keep More of What You Earn: Asset Protection for Physicians
Q: How does estate planning fit into this continuum for physicians who may delay addressing it?
Estate planning is essential and often neglected; a coordinated plan with medical directives and financial powers of attorney helps ensure care decisions and finances continue smoothly if the physician is incapacitated or passes away.
#123 How to Keep More of What You Earn: Asset Protection for Physicians
Q: What about retirement options for physicians? Can pension plans be used alongside 401(k) plans, solo 401(k), and employer matches?
Yes. Pension plans can complement 401(k) plans and solo 401(k)s, providing much larger contribution opportunities, and when paired with proper trusts, can offer strong asset protection and tax benefits.
#123 How to Keep More of What You Earn: Asset Protection for Physicians
Q: Let's talk about corporate structure and setting up the business structure well. Can you share just a little bit about how that can be done well or the mistakes you commonly see?
The expert explains that many medical professionals lack cohesive structure, recommending multiple entity layers (owning real estate in a separate LLC, operating the medical practice in another), and using a holding company to consolidate filings, which helps limit liability and simplify taxes when coordinated with legal and tax advisers.
#118 From 30 Hours of After-Hours Charting… to Zero
Q: How does the program help a clinician who is juggling multiple sites or locations?
The program emphasizes adaptable procedures, real-time note-taking, and scalable workflows that fit different locations, including varying EMRs and inbox setups, with a coach guiding to implement small, repeatable changes.
#118 From 30 Hours of After-Hours Charting… to Zero
Q: What were the main challenges you faced in practice, and how did you start to address them?
The main challenges were after-hours charting and inbox overwhelm. She started by recognizing that changing the ground rules within the clinical day and adopting batch processing, real-time notes, and targeted frontline training could reclaim time and reduce stress.
