  • Lots of additional info overrides the topic of the episode

Love most of the content, but sometimes the topic noted gets lost in so much other content. The episode w/Dr. Mike Israetel about the dark side of steroids went on for 1.5 hrs and finally the steroid part that I tuned in for didn’t come in until the last 18 min of the 2 hour episode. Ain’t no one got time for that.

  • Dr Amen

Thank you very much, Dr. Mike. It was such an interesting discussion with Dr. Aman that my jaw dropped. God bless you, my baby.

I have never seen such a potent case for randomized control trial of everything in my life as a researcher in the healthcare field for the last 45 years.

I wish you well. God bless you.

  • A great listen

A very informative podcast, with great guests. I enjoy how in depth conversations get, how they bust myths and explain why, and how science and medicine are at the forefront of the conversation. They also talk about relevant topics in the health sector, like affordable care and how healthcare can be made more accessible for all. I appreciate it all!

wow, what a show that was phenomenal to interview. I am a victim of a violent crime at a doctors office in New York City including Running punched my head a whole Made in my Retina no apologies no consequences for violating my patient rights and part of the strategy to cover up for the Crimes was to say that I'm crazy meaning mentally ill. I alerted the Manhattan DA that I was being harassed, threatening misogynist Hate crime threat posted on Google youtube but also someone claiming to be a medi... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Jesse Eisenberg Donated His Kidney
Q: Why is there such a strong emphasis on the kitchen-table conversation before death?
Because understanding and recording the patient's wishes reduces caregiver uncertainty and helps families honor the donor's intent when medical decisions are made.
Why Jesse Eisenberg Donated His Kidney
Q: You've seen that play out?
We discuss how the process works and the safeguards around donor-recipient separation, ensuring donors are fully informed and free from coercion.
Should You Be Scared Of A Black Hole? | Dr. Becky Smethurst
Q: There are people who are like, skip the treatment that your doctor's giving you, and just live healthy, live naturally. What do you want to say to those people?
You're gambling with survival and you only hear from those who are lucky enough to benefit; the majority may not fare as well, so it's about evidence and personalized decisions rather than anecdotal wins.
Why Stanford Dismantled Her Research Program | Renee DiResta
Q: What was the initial goal of the work at Stanford, and how abruptly did that goal change with the pandemic?
The center was set up to study adversarial online behavior, not to focus on elections; the pandemic extended the scope, but the core aim remained studying how misinformation and manipulation spread online, with strategic shifts as events unfolded.
The Biggest Mistake People Make On The Toilet | Dr. Trisha Pasricha
Q: How did you become interested in medical journalism and neuro gastroenterology?
Dr. Pasricha describes growing up influenced by mentors like Sanjay Gupta, interning at CNN, and a realization that good science communication must prioritize patients, which steered her toward a physician-scientist path that blends clinical care with journalism.
