  • A Teacher’s Favourite Podcast

Love listening on my way into work. I love that it is based in Ontario, however, we get some perspective la of those who are in different regions and even in the US.

  • Single best episode of a reading podcast EVER

Just listened to season 1 episode 8 w dr Carolyn Strom. I’m a trained Dyslexia Interventionist and have taught kids to read for over 30 years. She answered questions I’ve had for years and presented the clearest explanation I’ve heard about how the brain learns to read. If you need a way to explain this to parents - give this a listen!

  • Reading Road Trip

I have been tutoring in the new science of reading protocol and these podcasts have been invaluable. I have purchased many of the books recommended by the experts interviewed. Every teacher in Ontario should be listening to these podcasts. The future looks bright in Ontario for K - 2 students learning to read.

  • Interesting new podcast

Love having a podcast with a Canadian point of view and that feels familiar to me as a Canadian. Compared to similar podcasts, though, it sometimes tends to feel a little dry. Depends on the person being interviewed. Would be great to have some anecdotes or examples included in each interview.
