  • My new motivation

I just found this podcast and it’s my new favorite. I don’t normally listen to self help or motivational type podcasts because they sound so preachy and I feel like I already know everything they are going to say. When I’m listening to this one, I keep having to stop and write things down. I’m stuck in my life right now and this is helping me. Love! 💚

  • Some mis info

I have been a critical care nurse for 35 years and I’ve taught or done every form of fitness out there… heavyweights have a purpose, but there is definitely a place for lighter weight training.. at your age. You won’t know it, but after years of hard core fitness joints and bones wear out… lighter weights can help your bone density as Ken walking and even walking in the pool… I’ve worked with the elderly my entire life and later taught them exercise classes as well No one uses a 20 pound dumb-b... more

Deadlifting in Orbit: Astronaut Jessica Meir on Strength, Perspective, and Motherhood From Space
Q: Hi, Robin, how are you?
Jessica Meir responds with warmth and gratitude, describing the unique joy of interviewing from space and setting the scene for an in-space conversation that blends science, training, and personal insight.
How Tracking Food Gave Me More Freedom, Not Less
Q: Hi, Robin. My question for you, how do you prioritize or organize a training split when you have limited time?
Robin recommends a focused upper/lower split, four-week blocks with progressive overload, selecting two core Peloton classes to anchor the training and potentially adding a third day. She suggests repeating a couple of workouts for four weeks, then switching up the focus month by month, and emphasizes doing shorter but intense sessions (three 20-minute sessions) that are properly loaded to move the needle.
Hot Take: Marathon Training is Simple. This is All You Need to Finish Strong.
Q: Is it counterproductive to force a workout with poor sleep from menopause?
She suggests giving the body grace, suggesting lighter movement, walking, and rebuilding energy rather than forcing hard workouts when sleep is severely limited.
Why Eva Longoria Believes There's No Such Thing As Imposter Syndrome
Q: What would you say to the person who is paralyzed by the age cage or the Joneses, or the thing that their mother-in-law said?
Encourage action by recognizing the paralyzing effect of perfection, affirm that you already have the skills needed, and emphasize that you learn by doing one step at a time, starting with something tangible.
The Most Important Health Metric Isn't on Your Watch
Q: How should I build endurance for cardio if I hate long sessions but want progress?
Start with 30-minute Zone 2 sessions and add five minutes per week for six weeks, choosing activities you enjoy (cycling, swimming, running) to stay consistent while gradually increasing duration.
