  • Informative but hard to listen to

Long time listener of this podcast that quite often gives wonderful insights to the battery commodities. However, this podcast can be difficult to listen to as one of the hosts statuses and changes direction of the questions halfway through the sentence.

Lots of arms lots of um’s and err’s and rambling at times. if you can endure this, you can find gems of info.

  • Lithium rocks!

Howard and Rodney do an excellent job navigating the technical and financial aspects of Lithium investing. A great, intimate, and transparent conversation between the hosts enhanced by the Lithium industry guests. However, if you want the "musical" version, which is a must, find them on other podcast provider platforms.

Li-FT’s Catalyst-Rich Roadmap After The Winsome Merger (Francis MacDonald)
Q: Do you think that analogy between Adina-Galinée and Pilbara Altura is fair?
Francis agrees it's a good analogy and notes that consolidation makes sense in mining when deposits lie near each other, enabling more efficient development rather than duplicating capability on opposite sides of a boundary.
Galan Lithium Nears First Production (JP Vargas + Ross Dinsdale)
Q: Why choose lithium chloride concentrate as the initial product instead of going straight to lithium carbonate?
Producing lithium chloride concentrate allows a lower capex and faster path to cash flow by leveraging an integrated approach with downstream processing, while avoiding the complexity and capital risk of building a full carbonate plant upfront.
Galan Lithium Nears First Production (JP Vargas + Ross Dinsdale)
Q: What exactly has Galan achieved at Hombre Muerto West and what remains to be done before commercial production?
Galan has commissioned an advanced impurity-removal process and is producing lithium concentrate at the target 6% Li content; the next steps focus on optimizing the nano-filtration stage and ramping the evaporation ponds to reach commercial production.
Neil McCallum on Cisco’s Next Big Step
Q: And how does that program integrate with the PEA timeline and the metallurgical work you've already started for Spodumene projects?
The PEA work will incorporate transport logistics, power, rail and roads, plus rock mechanics and hydrogeology. Metallurgical testing so far has provided enough data to support a PEA and potentially a PFS, with ongoing variability testing on pegmatite textures and wall rock to refine processing scenarios. We'll keep expanding met work to ensure recoveries and iron content are well understood, which is essential to validate the planned processing approach at the concept level.
Neil McCallum on Cisco’s Next Big Step
Q: Neil, congratulations on getting the placement done, which gives you a lot of money to spend on the project this year and over the next 12 to 18 months. Can you just tell me what you've got planned for the rest of this year on the exploration front?
We're pursuing a multi-pronged program: continue infill drilling to upgrade the resource category, undertake extensional drilling to test extensions beyond the inferred resource, and selectively carry out regional scouting to identify new targets where low-cost work can confirm further extensions, with a focus on where higher grades are close to surface and economically justifiable. We'll also keep an eye on infrastructure-driven cost improvements, such as establishing a road and camp, which will enable more efficient drilling and broader regional exploration.
