  • Now with video. Why?

Was listenable, but the change to video in the last few weeks has made it next to impossible to listen to in the car - it won’t stream well and makes it frustrating to listen to. Add in your expectations that people are watching… sorry guys, I’ve had to hit the unsubscribe button.

  • Fantastic

Loving the podcast. Great information and good banter.

To the plonker whinging about First Nations people, get a grip. An acknowledgment is more than enough for a podcast ya muppet. I bet you’ve never been to North WA or the NT.

Keep up the good work Equity mates 👍

  • acknowledgement First Nations people

They acknowledge First Nations people but never had people who work in the financial sector, there are indigenous run businesses. Apart from that the podcast themes are repetitive

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The $1.8 Trillion Space Opportunity with Hugh Lam
Q: What advice would you leave for investors about navigating volatility in this sector?
Stay disciplined with a long‑term plan, recognize that volatility is the price of potential gains, and avoid panic selling by maintaining a steady investment approach.
The $1.8 Trillion Space Opportunity with Hugh Lam
Q: What is the best way for an investor to gain exposure to the space theme beyond hoping SpaceX goes public?
Using an ETF like Betashares Space Industry ETF provides diversified exposure across the space ecosystem, reducing the risk of betting on any single company while capturing the broader growth drivers.
A better Australia is possible - David Pocock on Gas Taxes, Property & Gambling
Q: What is the elevator pitch for gas tax?
Gas is a finite resource for Australia, and current arrangements shortchange the Australian people; a significant export tax would return revenue to the public and help lower domestic gas prices.
The How’s and Why’s of Private Credit with Henry Holm
Q: What should investors look for when evaluating a manager?
Seek managers with deep private credit experience across cycles, in-house asset management, a diversified revenue base, and a capability to handle workouts or exits, rather than monoline businesses that rely solely on new lending for revenue.
The How’s and Why’s of Private Credit with Henry Holm
Q: What is the best private credit deal you've seen, or the best company?
The best company was GE Financial Services, noted for building a robust private credit operation through training and systems, with a long history of mid-market lending; the best deal perspective is that the most money is earned on the deal you ultimately choose not to do, emphasizing disciplined deal selection.
