Love the podcast! However just a bit of feedback the number of references to Gemma’s book is getting a bit grating. Love you guys.
Love this podcast, it shares great insight and knowledge in a way that’s easy to understand for the common man/women. I really think Gemma has made this podcast better in every way. Thanks I appreciate your sharing of wisdom.
I love this show, I’ve learned so much from listening and will definitely miss Kate.
My one gripe is the editing, which is similar with some of the other Rask podcasts. I skip the first two minutes because the preamble is so long, and occasionally the editing has been a bit random, with little bits that they talk about editing out, being left in. Today I was listening to one of the latest episodes and was totally gripped when the last 15 minutes became a garbled edited chat repeating certain bit... more
I’ve been listening to this podcast for over a year now and find the financial information generally helpful. However, the exception, and it’s a big one, is the superannuation content of this podcast. The hosts, Owen and Kate, have at least two episodes dedicated to this topic, and by estimation, it’s time to bring in a third party expert to clear up the inaccuracies that both hosts have provided. Kate Campbell on this podcast is very basic and very cheap, I’d hate to be on a date with her as it’d be dry biscuits and a packet of dates for both of you.
I’d recommend she have her own podcast living in poverty instead.

The show focuses on practical personal finance and investing education, with a strong emphasis on building wealth through disciplined saving, smart investing (including ETFs), and understanding superannuation in Australia. Hosts explain concepts clearly, share real-world tips, and weave in behavioral psychology and life-stage planning (parenting costs, early retirement, and estate considerations). A recurring strength is accessible, actionable guidance delivered with a light, conversational tone, making complex topics feel approachable for both new and experienced investors. A notable aspect is the balance between beginner foundations (ETFs, shares) and deeper dives (tax, super, estate planning), often featuring guest experts who broaden th... more
