Great back to back episodes from JC and Matt. Love to hear it from the Aussie POV in the world of mining. Can’t wait for some Canadian content too, especially discussions of North American producers.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Gold Goes Vertical, We Hunt for Value (Ben Richards)
Q: What's your natural feeling toward this type of market?
Having a gut feel to pull some chips off the table while enjoying it as long as it lasts is probably prudent.
Gold Goes Vertical, We Hunt for Value (Ben Richards)
Q: How do you think about putting money into the gold names out there?
It's about how you play it with producers, unhedged producers first, then developers and explorers.
Gold Miners That Actually Compound (Greg Orrell)
Q: How do you then forecast gold when you sort of build out your models or think about it?
Our gold price assumption is lower for the moment, based on historically trailing average gold prices.
Gold Miners That Actually Compound (Greg Orrell)
Q: How do you think about positioning the fund if you were to sort of see a slowdown in gold or in the sort of federal debt level?
One of the things you do is really start chopping off your exploration and development companies; move up scale and focus on larger cap companies.
Gold Miners That Actually Compound (Greg Orrell)
Q: Do you think that the consensus is that gold can't hold above $3,000?
Absolutely, that has been the consensus, but there's growing belief in the market that gold will hold and possibly thrive above that level.
