  • Super anoying

Adam, I love your show. Lance I love your show. That being said, it is super off putting and not terribly useful for you two to have an impromptu debate - usually with Lance being overly aggressive to a reasonable question posed by Adam- when Adam is acting as an interviewer and not a debater. This happens too much lately and you guys need to handle this better or change the format.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Could The Weakening Jobs Market Actually Be GOOD For The Economy? | Michael Kantrowitz
Q: What is the HOPE framework and why is it effective in measuring economic health?
The HOPE framework stands for Housing, Orders, Profits, and Employment, which helps in assessing the impact of interest rate changes and predicting economic recovery patterns.
Bloomberg Economics' Chief US Economist Just Turned From Bearish To Bullish | Anna Wong
Q: When you say K-shaped recovery, are you talking more like a bifurcated economy?
Yes, I mean some parts of the economy could show V-shaped recovery while others sputter around, particularly as large firms focus on boosting productivity instead of hiring.
Bloomberg Economics' Chief US Economist Just Turned From Bearish To Bullish | Anna Wong
Q: Do you think the current Fed approach strategy to cut from here is appropriate given the conditions on the ground?
I think from their perspective, with negative ADP data and a weakening labor market, they feel compelled to cut rates as insurance, but I believe if they cut too sharply, inflationary pressure will flare up.
Our Addiction To Deficit Spending Is The Greatest Threat To Our Future Prosperity | Lyn Alden
Q: Is recession risk high, low, medium, and what do you think?
I view it as medium, with economic activity potentially dragging due to uncertainty and structural issues.
Our Addiction To Deficit Spending Is The Greatest Threat To Our Future Prosperity | Lyn Alden
Q: Are tariffs a net good thing?
I think it's mostly a tax on Americans, complicating long-term decisions for businesses and raising costs for consumers.
