  • Stop interrupting your guests, Adam

The guests are great but Adam Taggart keeps interrupting his guests mid-sentence, sometimes when they’re in the middle of making an important point such that he breaks the stream of thought.

  • Not good anymore

TM use to be my favorite podcast. Over the last several months it developed heavy political undertones and spends excessive effort making excuses for the current administration. Feels like a sad effort to land an interview with Sec Bessent. Look elsewhere for a less bias perspective.

  • What is up with Thoughtful Money? Ads interrupt the podcast every few minutes. It's out of control! I think that even paid subscribers are subject to these ads. That's inexcusable.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Coming Wave Of Distressed Sellers To Tank Home Prices Worse Than The GFC | Melody Wright
Q: You said the correction could be worse than the Great Financial Crisis. Can you explain what would make that likely and how long it could last?
The combination of demographic pressures, affordable housing constraints, and an active shadow market with private credit liquidity could prolong and intensify the correction, with prices and inventory adjusting over multiple years rather than a rapid, V-shaped decline.
SPECIAL REPORT: US & Israel Now At War With Iran - What Will The Implications Be? | Ryan Bohl, RANE
Q: How did Iran respond to these attacks, and what does that imply for regional stability?
Iran has launched widespread missiles and drones against Gulf states and Israel, signaling a substantial but not necessarily decisive response. The regional stability implication is the risk of a broader conflict with cascading effects across the Gulf and beyond, depending on escalation control and foreign involvement.
SPECIAL REPORT: US & Israel Now At War With Iran - What Will The Implications Be? | Ryan Bohl, RANE
Q: What exactly happened in yesterday's joint strikes with the US and Israel against Iran?
The operation was a coordinated decapitation-style strike targeting Iranian leadership and command centers, with a broader campaign including cyber and air defense suppression. The outcome suggested significant damage to leadership, but the full scale and durability of Iran's response remain uncertain as the situation unfolds over weeks.
Is Graphene The Next Big Boom? | Kjirstin Breure
Q: First off, how did I do explaining graphene and what it is supposed to do?
The guest confirms the summary is generally accurate, emphasizes graphene as the strongest and most conductive two-dimensional carbon material, and notes key applications across composites, coatings, and electronics, while highlighting the importance of producing high-quality, single-layer or few-layer graphene.
Lyn Alden: While "Nothing Stops This Train", Imminent Economic Crisis Is Unlikely
Q: How would you address the country's fiscal trajectory if you were in charge?
Rebalance, not merely tighten, including reforming social security and health care costs, and reducing overvaluation of the dollar by gradually adjusting reserve currency dynamics while promoting productive, value-oriented growth.
