  • Faber vs Johnson

Faber made more sense than Johnson on most points…..But I must thank Faber for coming right out and saying it: Trump is a Buffoon. Everybody in the U.S. is afraid to point out the obvious.

Once Trump is gone, nobody will admit to supporting him. The Trump voter will be placed on the endangered species registry.

Actually, Trump will destroy most of Johnson’s argument as to American advantages.

  • Either uninformed or Israel-First when it comes to West Asia

Adam knows how to talk finance but his knowledge of West Asian geopolitics seems to all be based on listening to Fox News. Embarrassingly uninformed takes on Iran, and the real causes of instability in the region.

  • Trumping economics

The podcast is about as out of sync with reality as the current administration. It just goes to show you economists love trump because he’s helping them get richer by artificially inflating the stock market. He constantly has guests that think the administration is doing things right. They love that hes removing regulations and allowing mergers of paramout to cause a monoply and further control media. The best one is how they talk about the waste and abuse in the government but tump taking jets ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Market To Pullback By May, Then Race To New Summer Highs | Mark Newton, Fundstrat
Q: What sectors do you see leading into the summer?
Technology, industrials, and financials look most favorable in the near term, with software remaining tricky for quick mean reversion, while energy may re-enter leadership later as cycles turn, and healthcare could offer defensiveness with selective biotechs performing well.
Market To Pullback By May, Then Race To New Summer Highs | Mark Newton, Fundstrat
Q: What would cause you to change your outlook in the next few months?
A dramatic shift in long-term yields, a breakdown of the 10-month moving average, or a material deterioration in earnings breadth and macro signals would prompt me to reassess, though I would still rely on price action and risk management to guide decisions.
Market To Pullback By May, Then Race To New Summer Highs | Mark Newton, Fundstrat
Q: Given all the cross-asset signals, how confident are you in the near-term continuation of the rally?
I am cautiously optimistic based on breadth, momentum, and sector leadership, but I expect a 3-5% pullback around May as part of a choppy year, with a stronger late-summer rally if the macro and earnings backdrop remains supportive.
How Would The Greats Like Buffet, Lynch, & Templeton Invest In Today's Market? | Pieter Slegers
Q: In your approach, so you've got your, sorry, your 18 companies in your portfolio. Do you just dollar cost average to that portfolio over time on an equal weight basis?
Yes, I rely on dollar-cost averaging and transparently share the approach, allocating about 50,000 USD per month to the portfolio, typically to two or three of the most interesting ideas at any given time to balance diversification and costs.
The Global Rush For Physical Gold & Silver Is Going Into Overdrive | Andy Schectman
Q: Is the current surge in physical gold and silver likely to persist or is it a temporary phenomenon?
Andy suggests the drivers are structural and long-term: distrust in fiat, central banks increasing gold reserves, and ongoing gaps between paper markets and physical delivery, with demand likely to stay robust as long as the macro setup remains unsettled.
