  • Legend

I listen to Chris’s pod every chance I get. I find them very informative, professional and he does have his moments of being funny.

Listening to his pod, it has helped me understand why the body does what it does while loosing weight or gaining muscle. This has helped me in my personal life greatly.

Not only am I an avid listener, I have also been a guest on this podcast. Which I enjoyed greatly.

    If I could rate 10/10 I would!

Keep up the great work l Chris

  • Ordinary

Listened to 3 of these episodes and that was more than enough. It appears that there is a lack of maturity from Chris and some of his guests (in particular Jess). It’s not entertaining listening to laughter regarding others physiques and women ‘over 40 competing’. As a woman in my early 40’s and someone who used to compete in my 30’s, I’ve been on the hunt for a coach in order to compete again. Thankfully I know NOT to reach out to this coach.

  • M50/50

Really enjoyed some of the content. I’ve listened to them all and I don’t like the insensitive laughs about people’s personal lives. Making fun of clients and people is not educating. This podcast has really taken a turn. Would I pick you as a coach? Probably not.

  • Great content and guests

Really enjoy the content, the host is extremely reputable and knowledgeable, and the guest speakers are really interesting! I like how it’s a mix of professionals and clients too so we hear lots of different perspectives. One small improvement - please try to let guests finish their train of thought before giving your response to what they’re saying as it can seem like you’re interrupting sometimes.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode #370: Natisha's feeling "future proof."
Q: Do you have any advice for someone that's decided, you know what, now's not the right time?
Definitely just start making better choices now as time is going to pass anyway, so even a little bit of progress is still better than no progress at all.
Episode #372: Is hunger to be expected in a deficit? Ft Mason Eadie
Q: What would you suggest for someone that has been relying on their intuition, and is trying to lose weight?
Probably optimize protein, optimize fruit and veg intake, just so you're feeling that a little bit fuller, and also going to be supporting muscle growth and recovery.
Episode #392: What it takes to gain 30kg of muscle ft Callum Hinze
Q: So is it like photos, measurements? Is that something you're an advocate of?
I rely predominantly on visuals, and I encourage clients to send through photos and monitor their performance.
Episode #392: What it takes to gain 30kg of muscle ft Callum Hinze
Q: How often do you think people sort of overestimate how much muscle they can actually gain in a given space of time?
Relatively often, people have an incorrect visual assumption about what a small weight gain represents in muscle.
Episode #393: Why Callum prefers staying lean year round? Ft Callum Hinze
Q: How do you approach the caloric surplus for muscle gain?
Callum advises starting with a baseline to find maintenance calories, then increasing by around 0.2 percent weekly to ensure optimal muscle gain without excessive fat. He highlights the importance of individual responses.
