The Murdaugh family was one of South Carolina's most powerful legal families. Three generations of Murdaughs held the position of solicitor in the lowcountry for almost one hundred years. In February of 2019 a boat crash killed 19 year old Mallory Beach. Paul Murdaugh, the son of prominent SC attorney, Alex Murdaugh, was charged with three felony counts of boating under the influence, including ca... more

The episodes are hard to follow I just started listening with the intent to binge. However even in the first episode the hosts are discussing things that have “already been mentioned in previous episodes”. The episodes are clearly edited in a way that I am unable to tell what the hosts actually knew at the time of recording vs what was learned later on. Simply put, the episodes don’t flow. Terrible for a binge listen. Also, the male host really goes out of his way to explain or justify the polic... more

  • Shame on y’all

You have lost a listener. Your last episode literally left a bad taste in my mouth. This show does nothing but highlight how South Carolina has one of the WORST legal systems in the country.

I have been listening since day one, and at first I was a fan. I used to applaud what I thought was the hosts ability to remain unbiased, but boy was I wrong. As the years have passed it has become more and more obvious that the people on this podcast are part of the problem, and are invested in making sure... more

  • Very Shallow

Despite hearing the hosts ask their listeners to engage with them on Facebook, there seems to be an unspoken rule about what the IOI hosts believe their (now former listener) should ask. As someone not from SC but who listens to many podcasters from South Carolina covering the Murdaugh trial, I asked what I thought was a simple question about whether podcaster Will Folks, who was allowed to view and photograph sealed evidence, would face any criminal charges. IOI has featured Mr. Folks on their ... more

Deposition Drama In "Outrage" Lawsuit

The host predicts the judge will likely continue discovery, order the deposition, and set a safe location, possibly awarding fees to the opposing side, or even taking a contempt finding if compliance is not achieved.
Judge Denies Stand Your Ground Defense in Killing of Scott Spivey
Q: What is the Stand Your Ground shield and how does it affect civil immunity?
