Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

I Got 3 DUIs Before 20… and It Still Didn’t Stop My Addiction
Q: What did the DUIs and legal troubles teach you?
They were humbling moments that showed the cost of addiction not just to me but to those around me, and they underscored the need to take responsibility and make lasting changes rather than blaming circumstances.
I Got 3 DUIs Before 20… and It Still Didn’t Stop My Addiction
Q: How did you get sober and what role did your environment play?
sobriety came through a personal decision rather than formal treatment; surroundings mattered—changing environments, like Whistler trips and being away from old peers, helped, but the core shift was internal and about keeping promises to myself and building a new identity.
I Got 3 DUIs Before 20… and It Still Didn’t Stop My Addiction
Q: What was your earliest experience with drinking and how did it evolve?
I started at a very young age, around 12, as a way to escape pain from a traumatic upbringing, and it escalated into binge drinking and drug use, including cocaine, while I still chased external success in sports and fitness.
I Started Self-Harming at 6 — Then Meth Took Over My Life
Q: Was that instinctual to hurt yourself at six years old?
Yes. It was an automatic impulse born from trying to cope with overwhelming fear and pain, especially in a chaotic home environment, and it persisted as a coping mechanism for years.
Corey Warren EXPOSES the Truth About Addiction Nobody Talks About
Q: What do you say to somebody struggling with addiction?
Offer hope and a practical, honest approach: try it, don't expect perfection, take it day by day, seek a program or community, and be willing to change even if that means discomfort.
