I was listening to episode 523, and couldn’t believe what I was hearing when the guest and host started talking about the pseudoscience claims from Masaru Emoto like it was legitimate science. The guest’s method is basically “manifestation” wrapped up in some BS that makes it sound like cognitive psychology. It started off less wacky and then she veered into talking about how it “changes you on a molecular level”. Really disappointing that a clinical psychologist would feature this on her show. ... more
Dr. Higgins has been our couples counselor for a few years. She’s thoughtful, quick with insights, and really good at helping us stay connected. So grateful to have her podcast as a resource in addition to sessions.
I adore this show! Dr. Jessica approaches relationships with such depth, compassion, and emotional intelligence. Every episode feels like a gentle nudge toward healthier communication, deeper self-awareness, and more empowered love. As someone with a background in behavior change science, I really appreciate how grounded and practical her guidance is, giving real tools in addition to the concepts she articulates so well. I walk away from each episode feeling more regulated, more intentional, and... more
As a certified Imago therapist in KC Mo area, I can professionally endorse this approach and the results. Not everyone is willing or able to navigate the diff out ego work that is required to stop focusing on the other and focus on self. Your reaction are hard wired into You! They live In you. Not your partner. Conflict is growth trying to happen.
Thank you so much for the wide range of topics related to relationship and self development. I am enjoying your show from 3 different perspectives: (1) as someone in a relationship, (2) as a coach coaching people on their relationships and (3) as a podcaster myself enjoying your interviewing style and show set up. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I tripe appreciate you!! ✨✨✨ Susie Pettit
