We're just two professors standing in front of a rom-com, asking it to be the subject of our podcast. Paul Eastwick and Eli Finkel explain what your favorite romantic films get right -- and wrong -- about the science of romance. Because it's time for scientists to take Ryan Gosling as seriously as you do.

Oh boy am I obsessed with this show. It blends all of my favorite things, science and research with relationships of the varying kind. I DEEPLY need them to do Pretty in Pink because there are so many different relationships going on with different levels of complexity. I’m eating these episodes up.
Paul and Eli are absolute delights to listen to — I love how thoroughly they comb through the movies they cover, and their insights about relationship science in general are equally fascinating. Keep up the amazing work!
The first episode I listened to was the one that viewed and contemplated and then reviewed Before Sunrise. This led me on to Pretty Woman, Bridget Jones, and now I am happy to see Before Sunset winking at me. I am happy to acknowledge myself chastened ... more
I’m really liking hearing all the psychology research and also revisiting some fun movies. Very interesting! But I definitely don’t always agree with the overall reviews of the movies (to be fair that’s very subjective). Love this show! There’s no better way to learn about psychology than through movies. Please keep em coming!
