  • Love the show

Good Grief! This episode was annoying. It was like listening to a middle school story. I’m blatantly used, lied to, but hey I’m in love and I’m sure after the 200th lie I’m sure they are ready to tell the truth now. The whole thing is embarrassing

Excellent..just a textbook picture of a sociopath…it’s about time moms stepped up to protect their children ..no matter how old. I lost my son to a covert narc, it is beyond heartbreaking. But I think it’s clear that the BF has a clear pattern, take the woman for every dollar she has, have a baby and then discard her. So you can hope for a discard and a grandchild. I would try to get a fraud expert to track her money…you are doing a great job and I’m so sorry..

I love y’all, but Hannah please stop interrupting Mackenzie when she’s trying to tell her stories. I think some input is needed but she can’t seem to get a word in. 💕 Hannah please be quiet!!

Insufferable mother. The guy in the story was probably a bad dude. But when ask to leave someone’s house, you leave. I lost respect for the mother when she refused to leave his property.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The BYU Bandit: Part 2
Q: How did the money flow into the center and what was its impact on the relationship?
The money was moved through Courtney's account to support Marsha's center, with Riley controlling the funds and Courtney eventually becoming less involved as Riley gained direct access to the money, which contributed to a power imbalance and eventual withdrawal from the relationship.
Mom vs. Dogfish
Q: What is your advice for listeners who fear confrontation with a loved one about a potentially dangerous relationship?
Lead with support, not accusations; provide verifiable information, respect boundaries, and give the person agency to decide, while staying a consistent safety net and offering resources if they choose to re-evaluate.
Mom vs. Dogfish
Q: How did you approach researching him without overwhelming Sophie?
I shared the information calmly and framed it as a collaborative effort, asking Sophie whether she wanted to see more documents and evidence, so she could come to her own conclusions with support rather than being told what to think.
Mom vs. Dogfish
Q: What initially alerted you to something being wrong with Mark, Sophie's partner?
My gut kept screaming something was off, and by methodically asking myself and Sophie pointed questions, I started noticing inconsistencies, like the age difference, and later, the absence of him at important moments which suggested avoidance.
The Hero's Secret Life: Part 2
Q: Can you walk us through what you were thinking when you first discovered the Craigslist messages and the plan to bring strangers into the home?
I was in absolute shock and realization that the man I trusted was actively orchestrating danger in our home; I gathered evidence, confronted him in controlled ways, and began planning my exit while trying not to awaken him or escalate the situation.
