  • Best Podcast EVER!

This podcast, hands down, was the thing that took me to the next level in my healing journey during COVID. I like to tell people it took me from Beth 1.0 to Beth 2.0. I am happy to say I have been working hard on Beth 3.0 over the past 6 months and feel Beth 4.0 right around the corner.

  • Enjoy

I really enjoy how Michelle focuses on what it truly means to become an adult and how that shows up in everyday life. The way she compares the adult self to the adolescent and inner-child “chairs” is thoughtful and easy to understand. I love hearing the different reactions and perspectives she explores in each episode. Her process makes so much sense to me, and every time I listen, I gain more clarity about the kind of adult I want to be and how I want to show up in the world.

  • Amazing down to earth guidance.

I have been using Michelle’s meditations on YouTube for about 2 years and they’ve been instrumental in healing from a lot of childhood trauma. I bought her book when it was released this year (The Adult Chair) and loved it! It has helped me delve even deeper into further healing and her guidance helps me rewire old unhealthy patterns I learnt as a child. Michelle’s podcasts are the cherry on top which offer me further inspiration to continue healing, for me, because I deserve it. Thank you so mu... more

Michelle, you should read your bad reviews. I was interested in this podcast but if you are inviting sexist and exclusionary people on your pod....honey....check the room. The nation is in a state of horror and upheaval. What beast do you want to feed? If you wanna feed that one, bye

  • Excellent podcast

I am in my mid fifties and about two years from retirement with a 20yo daughter in college. I listen to self improvement, leadership and retirement podcasts. The adult chair is easy to listen and so diverse in the advice provided. I look forward to each episode

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

505: How Small Changes Create Real Transformation | Eric Zimmer
Q: What actually works for transformation if overnight change is a myth?
Transformation comes from consistent, small changes guided by awareness, regulation of the nervous system, and practical actions—paired with reframing beliefs and choosing empowering thoughts over stuck narratives.
506: 13 Things Mentally Strong People Do Not Do | Amy Morin
Q: What would you say to the younger generation about maintaining mental strength in today's world?
She advises managing what you consume mentally, being mindful of news and social media, and filling your brain with constructive content—books, meaningful conversations, and purposeful activities.
506: 13 Things Mentally Strong People Do Not Do | Amy Morin
Q: Okay. What is another thing that mentally strong people do?
Morin explains that mentally strong people don't shy away from change; they adapt rather than resist, recognizing that change is a natural part of life and often leads to growth.
504: When a Physicist Met God: Seeing Reality Through the Heart | Dr. David Clements
Q: What about daydreaming or getting distracted while infusing—how do we know when to move on and how to stay present?
Even partial progress during a session counts toward the infusion, and the mind's distractions are part of the learning curve; with practice, the mind relaxes and synchs with the heart's energy, enabling smoother continuation over time.
504: When a Physicist Met God: Seeing Reality Through the Heart | Dr. David Clements
Q: Do we do those meditations over and over again until we have a visceral feeling while we're doing them? What about falling asleep or daydreaming during that practice?
Treat it as a playful journey with no rigid endpoint; if the mind drifts or you fall asleep, simply begin again later, and gradually the energy flow and trust deepen as you continue; the process adapts to individual pace.
