Jillian is so bad at listening to people, and so great at bending their content to her will / imposing her view on what they have said. It is so engaging to listen to somebody who is such a bad therapist, so confident in herself, and who makes for such good listening.
Some good advice but, I notice Jillian nearly always references cis straight relationships
I found this podcast only a couple months ago and I am OBSESSED! I drive a lot so I listen to this for hours a day. Super insightful. Highly recommend subscribing!
I love Jillian’s podcast, book and IG posts. I would like to suggest the topic of housework division and care work. I learned a lot about deep emotional intimacy but it is the everyday sock in the floor, not covering the 🚽 whole flushing or forgetting payments that drains a lot. There was an episode about harmony in family holidays live and let live, no rules but who cooks? Who cleans? You’re amazing Jillian I’d love to heat your take kn this. Thank you so much for your amazing work
I really do keep trying with this podcast and I’ve never left a review on a podcast good or bad but it’s so laced in misogyny and generalizations about women that I come away feeling frustrated every time. Think my final straw has to be the line ‘historically women have not had much outside of their relationship to fulfill them’ Yikes!
