  • A Must-Listen for Daters!

As a 49-year-old single parent coming out of a long marriage, stepping into modern dating has honestly felt like landing on another planet. The last time I dated, apps didn’t even exist — and navigating this new world has been equal parts overwhelming, confusing, and unexpectedly hopeful.

Talia’s guidance on dating intentionally has been such a grounding force for me. I deeply appreciate the thoughtful, compassionate, and practical way she approaches relationships and connection. Instead of fee... more

  • Too many commercials

Too many commercials and reruns Love Talia but maybe she should switch to once a week for fresher material

The amount of commercials have gotten too distracting and makes her cred questionable when they get written in like real dating advice

  • Great podcast! Too many ads.

Talia is so insightful and I learn so much but sometimes it feels like there are about 15 minutes of ads in the middle of a podcast.

I do love the advice on here. I do think the shift to more relationship stuff is helpful. I feel like I’ve listened to most of it and people dating and relationships is two different places to be. So its nice now that being a relationship you are also giving advice on that..cause we evolve at some point hopefully. I listened to the 3 rules of dating episode..and only thing is Thalia, you interject yourself too much in the guest speaking and always bring it back to yourself almost bragging..not e... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

285. Why You Lose Yourself When You Start Dating Someone w/ Chris Rackliffe
Q: Is it a deal breaker if schedules don't align, like one person being a morning person and the other a night owl?
Listen to the date, test the connection in real life, and discuss schedules openly; it's about aligning expectations rather than enforcing a rigid rule. The host suggests giving it time and allowing flexibility as the relationship develops.
284. Rejected? Here's How to Bounce Back Faster In Early Dating
Q: All right, I have a dating dilemma here. How do I handle a partner who isn't initiating dates, without feeling like I'm testing him or compromising my own needs?
The host suggests understanding the other person's perspective on initiating plans, being explicit about what initiative means to you, setting a time frame to observe change, and having the conversation more than once if needed; if there's no meaningful change, reassess whether the dynamic meets your needs.
279. Dating Habits That Actually Lead to Relationships w/ Moe Ari Brown
Q: What does the data say about hope in dating today?
Hopeful takeaway: there are tried-and-true aspects of dating—like checking in between dates, holding hands, and close proximity—that remain reliable anchors, showing daters that meaningful connection is possible even in tough times.
283. Relationship Compatibility: What Science Says Actually Matters w/ Paul Eastwick
Q: What should daters focus on if traits aren't the best predictor of long-term compatibility?
Shift focus to how a partner makes you feel, how you build shared rituals, and how you construct a joint life or us-identity, rather than chasing a perfect traits checklist.
278. Summer Dating Tips: Keep Your Momentum When Everyone's Traveling
Q: What should I do if travel makes meeting up hard and I start to worry my interest is fading?
Focus on getting to a date quickly when possible, or use quick touchpoints like photos, calls, or a tentative plan for when you're back to maintain momentum without over-texting.
