I listen to a handful of relationship and self improvement podcasts (all of which I get a lot of value). However, Let’s Get Vulnerable has been my favorite. I’ve been listening to podcasts for a few months now and I just came across Dr. Morgan about a week ago. I absolutely love her! I love how she’s been in the same shoes of everything she talks about and she’s so blunt and real about it although it might be hard to hear if you’re going through it. This is really the type of show and content I’m interested in, but I find the presenter is pretty presumptuous in their advice. It’s really unhelpful to hear “everyone’s who’s had xyz happen should do xyz because the reason behind it must be xyz,” when that doesn’t apply to your situation. They make a lot of sweeping generalisations without the caveat of “this is what works for me or some people.” Instead, they actually purport that they KNOW things based on very limited contexts of writers writ... more
