You two truly are the big sisters I never had. This show offers the best mix of messages… from anti-diet, body positivity/neutrality, pregnancy support, postpartum health, and parenthood in general, I always finish an episode feeling so seen. Thank you ladies!
So I listened to your summary of the Oprah episode and another one on your views of GLP-1’s. As a person with class 2 obesity, the pain that people struggling with obesity are going through is very real. Pushing the intuitive eating and HAES narrative and shaming weight loss meds is not helpful, and reeks of a new anti diet diet culture. I guess those of us suffering should just say, ok we can’t all be a healthy weight, I guess I should go on a walk and appreciate that my legs can walk today. To... more
I love this pod so much from an ED recovery perspective which is how I found it and why I listen. Recently there’s been too many episodes about pregnancy and giving birth and parenthood which is great but not why I listen (it does not pertain to me) to this pod, so I find myself having to skip a lot of episodes recently which is disappointing.
I really want to love this podcast, and there have been some episodes that I’ve found really informative and entertaining, but lately it feels like a LOT of content focused only on pregnancy and TikTok ragebait/misinfo. I understand that those are highly relevant to the hosts at the moment, but it’s getting a bit tiresome and alienating; personally I would rather see a break from episodes until there’s bandwidth for some deeper dives into other topics than repeats of these ones.
I absolutely love your podcast and your message. I wish there wasn’t as much baby/post-partum content however.
