  • Good broadcast. Too wiling to blame men for everything that goes wrong in a marriage, family, etc.

Have reviewed the show in the past. Garry Chapman has a strong tendency to blame men for everything that’s wrong in the marriage. That aside there is a lot of good information in these broadcasts. Listened to Garry Smalley’s Love Languages episode this morning. Great stuff which I use frequently in counseling married couples. Strongly disagree with the idea that someone’s personal character flaws should be overlooked or left uncorrected. This holds especially true if those character flaws... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Helping Your Children Navigate the Culture
Q: Speak to that overarching goal that you have to help equip parents to do this job.
In this case, you're not having to be like, okay, how am I going to do this with my kids? It's more like all you have to do is pay attention to what you're already doing and just take a moment and say, hey kids, did you see that?
Helping Your Children Navigate the Culture
Q: Tell me more about the lies that the culture is telling our kids about emotions so that we're identifying those handles for the parents.
One of the number one lies with emotionalism is this idea of if I feel it, it's true. We have to discipline our behaviors that may or may not match our emotion.
Practical Ideas for Loving Your Wife
Q: How should husbands and wives approach spiritual leadership in the home?
Both need to model spiritual leadership and support each other in their faith journeys.
Practical Ideas for Loving Your Wife
Q: What is causing the drift in a marriage?
It's often due to taking each other for granted and not being intentional about meeting each other's needs.
Transforming Lives Through Foster Care
Q: What are some ways the church can support foster families?
The guests discussed the importance of community support such as meals, respite care, and advocacy for permanency for foster children.
