  • Wonderful Podcast

Y’all do a great job opening up topics for married, soon to be, or dating couples! My relationship with my soon to be wife has been greatly benefitted by the advice y’all share. Thank you, and God bless.

  • Rosie Makinney is terrible!

Rosie is terrible! She spoils an otherwise amazing podcast. She is cynical, condescending, and talks down to men about an important topic for men and that’s pornography.

Her tone, her use of words, and the way that she talks down to men is huge distraction

I am surprised that Focus on the Family keeps having her on to talk about such a sensitive topic

I don’t watch porn, pornography… But no how many men are captivated by it

I would give this podcast a five star rating… But because she is... more

  • A blessing to our my marriage

Thank you for this ministry. I’m 32 I’ve been married for 10 years. We have 3 kids. There isn’t a lot of trustworthy, genuine Godly couples around us to guide us and mentor us. I come from a broken, dysfunctional home growing up. This podcast has been such an encouragement and saving grace to me and my spouse. He doesn’t even know I listen to this, but I didn’t realize how much we needed it- how much I needed it-until God led me to it.

    Thank you beyond words.

  • Wisdom but not always on topic

I really appreciate the truths the come out of these podcasts. Even offhanded comments help to foster understanding and love between spouses. Lots of really good wisdom here!

I do wish though that the podcasts were more direct and on topic. For example, I listened to the “when your spouse doesn’t receive positive affirmation” podcast in order to seek specific wisdom about that topic. There was one comment at the beginning that was helpful, about how it’s not our responsibility but we can be ei... more

Why Codependency is so Toxic
Q: When I'm looking at my spouse, how do I know it's time to stop looking at my spouse and start looking at me?
It's when there's really an absence, kind of like Erin was saying, of how am I fitting into this?
Don’t Play the Blame Game
Q: What would you say to someone who is struggling with blaming their spouse for unhealthy conflict?
It's human nature to blame others, and recognizing that is the first step in addressing it.
Emotional Distance in Marriage
Q: How do we get to the point where we can find out how we are doing and grow toward emotional connection?
We need to be quick to listen and slow to speak, providing good eye contact and being present in conversations.
When a Friend Calls You Out
Q: How about women? Do you have the same kind of arrangement or understanding with your girlfriends that, hey, if I need something, you're gonna kind of call me out on it?
Erin stated that female friendships often focus on emotional validation and connection, rather than direct accountability, presenting a different dynamic in feedback.
When a Friend Calls You Out
Q: Jim, at one level was Matt saying, and you never ask about me, Matt, it's always, we don't go to the places I'm feeling?
Matt noticed Jim's lack of emotional engagement and expressed that Jim was primarily focused on superficial interactions rather than deeper emotional connection.
