i really like this show! it is well researched, informative and always victim centric. one thing that did bother me though is that when listening to the wade wilson episode there were some fat phobic comments made about how he was gross and ugly now that he gained weight. while i don’t sympathize with a murderer/rapist when you say things like that it implies that anyone who gains weight is gross and ugly. it was just disappointing.
Omg I had to leave and just go google the story. Repetitive and not objective. Torture
Listening to Kendall Francois I felt like I was listening to some 1800‘s „white“ talk - racial nonsense in 2025.
Criminal Appeal stands out amongst the true crime podcasts as it features a dual perspective both sociologically and criminologically. Dr. Jordan was my mentor and professor over my years at WCSU and made me fall in love with the field so much that I went to grad school. Her perspective on cases is deep and really helps the people who may not have a criminal justice background understand the victimology and criminology. Great podcast!! So easy to binge.
